| June 2, 2025 2:40 PM

Andy R. Lyne, 70, died May 24, 2025, at his home from cancer. He was born July 10, 1954, in Boston, Mass., to Raymond and Catherine (Murtha) Lyne.

Andy graduated from Ventura High School, Class of 1973. After high school, he attended two years of college at Ventura Community College. After college, he moved to Vancouver, Wash., where he lived for the next 35 years, then moved to Carnation, Wash., for nine years, and moved for the final time to Moses Lake, Wash., all the while building his career as a heavy equipment mechanic over 47 years.

He met his present wife, Cindy, while at their square dance club and April 20, 2025, they celebrated 31 years of marriage. Andy enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising his Labrador retrievers, with which he participated in American Kennel Club Hunt Tests with them. He was also a member of the Rainier Hunt Retriever Club.

Those who know Andy will remember him for being quick to give you a hard time and tease you. But also, as the first one to help out when needed and give you the shirt off his back.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Charles.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Cindy Schultz, are his daughter, Jennifer Brown, and her husband, Tony (Ashton) of Fairfield, Idaho, sister Marie Montalbano of LaPlace, La., as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the second week of August to celebrate his life. Arrangements for the celebration of life are being made by Kayser’s Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Cancer Institute of America in Andy’s name.
