Public’s help sought in determining identity of John Doe
QUINCY — Quincy Police Department officers are asking for the public’s help in determining whether or not a body found in Georgia in 2009 is a man who had ties to Grant County.
“Through genealogical DNA testing and facial recognition, it is thought John Doe could be Santiago Valdovinos Moreno. Santiago has previous ties to Quincy and previous addresses in the Grant County area,” the Quincy Police Department wrote in a statement.
The man’s body was found in 2009 along a highway in Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was about 5 feet, 9 inches, weighed about 135 pounds and had black hair and brown eyes. There were no fingerprints, scars or tattoos. A forensic reconstruction was made of the skull.
Anyone who has information on the possible whereabouts of, or information about, Valdovinos Moreno can contact Detective Jazzlyn Silva at the QPD, 509-797-3555 or [email protected], case number 21QU3401.
