City of Quincy Notice of Annual REVIEW CYCLE: Comprehensive Plan Amendments Amendments to the City of Quincy Comprehensive Plan are made once annually according to Quincy Municipal Code Chapter 17.17. The City undertakes the annual review process of considering proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan as set out in section 17.17.030. Such proposed amendments and/or revisions to the Comprehensive Plan are categorized into three types: area wide amendments; capital facilities amendments; and urban growth area amendments. An annual amendment can be initiated by the City as a city-identified deficiency or initiated by any person as a suggested amendment to be taken through the annual review process. Submissions must be submitted in writing with the following details. Submissions without complete applications may not be considered for further consideration. · Name, Contact Info, and Address of Applicant and/or Applicant’s Representative. · Detailed description of proposal. Include parcel numbers, addresses, zoning information, and/or Quincy Municipal Code references, as applicable. · Corresponding maps and exhibits to help illustrate the proposal. · A description of why the City Council should amend the Quincy Comprehensive Plan as proposed. Annual amendment applications are due to the City of Quincy by Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at 5:00 pm. Annual reviews are considered at the Planning Commission’s regular September meeting, scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025.
