Moses Lake Police Department logs for July 28, 2025

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Police Department provided the incident details noted below. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

July 19 


Report of possible drug use in the home on North Vista Drive. Police advised reporting party of state laws and options for subjects living there. 


Report of vehicle parked on Admiral Road Northeast on the roadway with no plates and a possible bullet hole through the window. Vehicle was involved in a theft earlier in the morning. Vehicle was towed pending the application.


Report of units assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a verbal disturbance with threats of using a two-by-four. 


Report of overdose on West Westover Boulevard. 


Report of female suspect overdosing at the library. Dispatch said the female suspect was alert and left on foot. 


Report of male suspect drinking an alcoholic beverage at the park. Male suspect was trespassed from the location for three days. 


Report of cold sexual assault. Reporting party already reported incident in spring of 2024. Reporting party directed to the prosecutor office.  


Report of minibikes riding around the parking lot. Police located two subjects riding minibikes across McCosh Park and caught up to them at A Street and Columbia. The minibikes did not have any headlights and they fled from the officer after he turned on lights. The mini bikes were unable to locate. 


Report of license plate falling off farm truck on Parkway Drive Northeast. 


July 20 


Report of one shot heard on South Dahlia Drive. One live pistol round located on roadway. Round appeared to be on road for awhile and was ran over by car. No spent casings located. 


Report of blue tent found on Alder Street Fill Side, by the water. There was no one around the tent when the area was checked. 


Report of suspect keyed the reporting party's vehicle with profane words. Vehicle was parked in the 1000 block of Skyline Drive. 


Report of cars crashed on roadway on South Pioneer Way. 


Report of road rage incident on North Stratford Road. Suspect pointed a handgun at victim with her finger on the trigger. The reporting party said children may also be in suspect vehicle. Police located the suspect vehicle. Suspect was placed into custody and booked into jail. Gun seen in vehicle. Children were released into father’s custody.  


Report of victim having his wallet stolen out of his car at business on North Stratford Road. Victim said cards were being used at another business. Suspects found at business and one was apprehended immediately and the other fled on foot. The other suspect was later apprehended down the road. Both suspects book into jail. 


Report of two subjects stealing around $400 worth of merchandise from business on North Stratford Road. Video showed two women walk out of store with a basket of goods without going through points of sale. Reporting party asked for charges to be pressed for theft and suspects to be trespassed. 


July 21 


Victim heard noises coming from outside his residence on South Grant Drive. When the victim opened the door he was struck in the face with a shovel. Suspect fled the residence on police arrived. Suspect was located and taken into custody after a foot pursuit. Suspect booked into Grant County Jail on second-degree assault, obstruction and resisting arrest.  


Report of blood found on reporting party’s driver side door on E State Avenue. Unknown suspect. Nothing taken or damaged. No blood leading up to vehicle. 


Report of subject selling drugs on South Hamilton Road. Suspect not identified. 


Report of a truck stolen on North Grape Drive. Police were already aware that reporting party’s daughter was using the vehicle, and had permission to use the vehicle on a regular basis. Police contacted daughter at local park and requested she took the truck back to reporting party. Daughter said she ran out of gas. Police provided enough gas to get to gas station. 


Male subject overdosing at Neppel Landing. Medics arrived and transported male subject to Samaritan.  


Report of male subject taking clothing items without paying at business on North Stratford Road. Male subject found inside another business and arrested. Male suspect permanently trespassed.  


Report of firework that caused damage to lawn on North Crestview Drive. Unknown suspect let a firework in the street and caused a small section of the lawn to catch fire. Extra patrols requested.  


July 22 


Report of group of subjects loitering in parking lot and requested trespass. One suspect was arrested for DOC felony warrant. Drugs and paraphernalia were recovered off his person during the search incident to arrest.  


Report of a juvenile spray painting a wall on Pioneer Way. Police contacted male and he and his boss were cleaning the area. 


Report of unlawful issuance of bank checks from a closed account. Under investigation. 


Report of electric bike stolen from campsite at West Valley Road. Reporting party said value of bike is $2000. Reporting party did not have serial number. 


Report of bike stolen two days ago from business on South Pioneer Way. Reporting party said he saw someone at Civic Park with said bike. Alleged suspect contacted and he said he found in the bushes. The bike was returned to reporting party. 


Report of kids swimming at Mont Lake with signs stating they should stay out. Reporting party was told they could swim at their own risk. 


Report of one subject stealing a candy bar at business on North Stratford Road. Subject to be trespassed if identified. 


Report of theft from business on South Pioneer Way. When officer arrived they talked to the manager who said the subject had around $80 worth of merchandise taken. Officers were able to contact subjects and they returned and payed. 


July 23 


Report of domestic on West Marina Drive. Officers arrived they contacted two individuals. Through investigation, the male subject was arrested and booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  


Report of possible physical altercation on Patton Boulevard Northeast. Both subjects contacted. Female arrested for local warrants.  


Report of theft from store on North Stratford Road. Three of four subjects arrested and booked into jail for second-degree theft or third-degree theft. 


Report of female subject stealing around $750-$900 worth of items from business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party wants to press charges, trespass the female for two years. Business to provide video, written statement and receipt of stolen goods. 


Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic incident on Vandeberg Loop. Police located suspect and detained him until GCSO arrived and interviewed victim and suspect. Suspect was booked for second-degree assault – domestic violence.
