Ruby Joyce Love
Ruby “Joyce” Love, 88, of Spokane Valley, Wash., went into the arms of the Savior she so faithfully worshiped July 19, 2025.
Joyce was born Oct. 24, 1936, to James and Johnnie Mckee in Wilmot, Ark. Joyce met and married Jim Berry in Livermore, Calif., and they enjoyed military life along with two daughters. Later, Joyce settled in Moses Lake, Wash., where she married Jim Love and they enjoyed motorcycle rides and the Moses Lake Old Car Club. Joyce had a simple love of flowers, hummingbirds, her family and her God.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Karen Zundel (Ed) and Peggy Barker (Jack), along with six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest brother, John Mckee (Della), of Soap Lake, Wash.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, James and Johnnie Mckee, her older brother, Gerald Mckee, her husband, Jim Love, and her daughter, Patty Ann Berry.
Joyce will be achingly missed. Dementia is an insidious disease. It takes our loved ones way too early before their bodies join them. We will remember this remarkable woman, her sweet smile and her lasting faith as our Mama, Nana, Sister and friend. Rest in peace, our Mama.
Funeral services are at Kayser’s Chapel, 831 S. Pioneer Way, Moses Lake on Monday, July 28, 2025, with viewing at 1 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to the Hospice House of Spokane in lieu of flowers for their remarkable support and help in paving a kind and peaceful path for her heavenly destination.
