Community comes together for Daniel Alcala’s family following shooting
The Ephrata community has come together to raise funds for Daniel Alcala’s family. Alcala was fatally shot during an altercation Sunday. Alcala’s family, friends and co-workers said he was known for his love of fishing, family and working at Pure Country Farms.

A picture of one of the car meets Daniel Alcala helped organize. A memorial car fundraiser at Moore Furniture in Ephrata is planned for July 26 at 7:30 PM, organized by Alcala’s long-time friends. The event will feature opportunities to look at cars and donate to Alcala’s family.

EPHRATA — In the wake of a shooting incident in Ephrata on July 20, the local community is rallying around the family of Daniel Alcala, who was fatally shot during an altercation at a gas pump.
