Moses Lake Police Department logs for July 21, 2025
The reports below were provided by the Moses Lake Police Department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
July 11
Report of subjects sleeping near dumpster on North Stratford Road. Reporting party requested the subjects to be trespassed for 99 years. Trespass form uploaded to case file.
Report of multiple tire deflation spikes in the roadway on North Dale Road. Unknown where they came from.
Report of reporting party applying for apartment through Facebook and discovered ad was a scam. Reporting party sent around $300, including an Apple gift card. Scammer called while police was with reporting party and he immediately hung up.
Report of Grant County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with barricaded subjects with felony warrant on Road 10 Northeast. Suspect eventually exited the building and was taken into custody without incident.
Report of male subject sleeping on reporting party’s dock on South Eastlake Drive. Male subject in area, pulling a suitcase.
Report of two males parking vehicles in area and left on foot on South Ironwood Drive. Reporting party thought it was suspicious. Officers checked area and did not find the males.
Report of license plates stolen on West Pheasant Street. Cameras did not catch the thieves. Theft report taken and entered.
Report of subject stopped for no license plate. Suspect found to have altered trip permit that had been altered for months. Suspect cited for failing to display and make away that the trip permit violations and not transferring title withing 45 days was a misdemeanor. Trip permit taken as evidence.
Report of stolen dirt bike on North Ruddy Street. Last verified it was in his back yard on June 18. His camera went out and came back online June 25 and his bike was gone.
Report of physical domestic violence and fight between subject and juveniles in progress on Grape Drive Northeast. Upon police arrival, suspect was gone.
Report of two-vehicle collision on the city right or way on North Grape Drive and West Valley Road. Vehicle one was pulling out of parking lot and did not see vehicle two. Vehicle one hit vehicle two on front passenger door, causing reportable damage. Vehicle one had damage to front of vehicle.
Report of male subject observed by loss prevention walking out of store without paying for merchandise at business on South Pioneer Way. Male subject had been previously trespassed. Subject arrested and booked on charges and warrant.
Report of mishap when subject tried to pay. The attempt to pay was unsuccessful. Reporting party requested police contact to subjects to come to store and pay.
July 12
Report of collision on West Prichard Road. Upon arrival, police saw the driver hit the fence that separates the city street from I-90. The driver fled on foot and was located. The driver was intoxicated and arrested for DUI and hit and run property damage.
Report of male suspect approached by reporting party’s chihuahua and male subject grabbed firearm and said he did not like dogs. Reporting party confronted the male subject and told him he was not allowed to carry firearms in the parks. Male subject left the area prior to police arrival.
Report of subject under ringing items at business on North Stratford Road. Subject trespassed for two years.
Report of physical altercation between roommates on South Hawthorne Drive. Female subject struck male subject in the face. Female subject booked into Grant County Jail on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
Report of units responding to business on North Elder Street for a customer who was intoxicated and not leaving. The subject was permanently trespassed on body camera.
July 13
Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle that was shot on Lowry Street. No injuries.
Report of two subjects in the field with tents on North Stratford Road. Subjects agreed to leave and were told the property owner does not want anyone camping on the property.
Report of dog in vehicle at business on North Stratford Road. THe window was up and vehicle was not running. Vehicle left prior to arrival. License plates provided. Officers followed up at vehicle owner’s address and gave verbal warning. Subject understood and apologized saying it would not happen again.
Report of juveniles causing damage to bathrooms at McCosh Park. No damage was caused. Juveniles were later trespassed from the park for three days.
Police observed a fight in progress at McCosh Park. The fight involved the same group of juveniles who were called in about damaging park bathrooms. Juveniles were trespassed for three days.
Report of felony warrant suspect placed in custody after jail confirmation. Jail said shortly after they would not take. Subject released.
Report of meth located on business floor on North Stratford Road. Drugs logged for destruction.
Report of twos subjects contacted in a hand built structure in the field next to business on West Central Drive. Both stated they were resting at “James” place. No one else located and both subjects trespassed from property.
Report of physical domestic on South Lakeland Drive. Suspect located and arrested for domestic violence charges.
Report of physical domestic on South Pioneer Way. Suspect arrested and booked.
Report of homeless person contacted at Neppel Park and arrested for felony warrant. Several others warned about being in park after hours.
July 14
Report of female suspect approaching business on West Central Drive multiple times with long object. Female arrested for attempted assault in the fourth degree, obstructing and resisting arrest.
Report of car keys stolen. Has idea of potential suspect.
Report of domestic on West Peninsula Drive. Suspect was taken to Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
Report of subject buying a television on Facebook Marketplace for $90 and it did not work. The seller was not willing to give money back.
Report of victim being bear-sprayed and his bike taken from the bed of his truck. Victim was uncooperative and did not want to pursue charges.
Report of two-vehicle collision on East Broadway Avenue and North Stratford Road. Both vehicles were making right hand turns onto North Stratford Road and vehicle one cut the turn a little too much and hit vehicle two. Witness said he believed vehicle one took the corned too sharp and that is why he believed vehicle one collided with vehicle two.
Report of male walking around saying he was burning on Parkway Drive. Male contacted by medics earlier for pepper spray exposure. Male did not want medical attention.
Report of physical domestic on Grape Drive. When officers arrived, both parties were separated. Through investigation, officers arrested male subject. He was booked into Grant County Jail and female subject will have charges sent to the prosecutor's office.
Police contacted a male individual in the Neppel Park after closing hours. Police trespassed the male from the park for three days per the city ordinance. Male left area.
July 15
The reporting party was with Pacific Security at Lauzier Field and said male was refusing to leave restrooms. Police responded and told male he needed to leave. He left.
Report of two males staying at hotel on East Kittelson Road. Front desk person said they kept coming up and harassing her. Police contacted the males and trespassed them from hotel.
Report of woman sleeping in alcove on West Broadway Avenue. Business owners asked for female to be trespassed. Female advised of trespass and did not want to sign form.
Report of summer school student at Moses Lake High School found with marijuana vape device. Report to be routed to prosecutor.
Report of people doing drugs in Civic Park. Two subjects trespassed from park for 72 hours.
Report of subject ripping branches off of several trees at business on South Pioneer Way. Business asked for charges on subject. Subject was arrested and booked into jail for third-degree malicious mischief. Suspect permanently trespassed.
Report of female subject riding a bicycle on cobblestone pathway on sidewalks downtown on South Beech Street. Police contacted and told female that bicycles, skateboards and scooters were not allowed to be ridden on pathways downtown. Female stated she understood and apologized. Nothing further.
Report of two individuals smoking in Civic Park. Police contacted the individuals and trespassed them for three days per the city ordinance. Individuals left the park.
Report of children walking outside to reporting party’s vehicle when the neighbor across the street threw a bone towards them. Reporting party said the bone did not hit them and bounced to the sidewalk. Reporting party said she yelled to the neighbor who only shook his head as he walked away. Neighbor did not answer door when contact was being made. Reporting party said she would like to petition for an antiharassment order.
Report of police assisting code enforcement and health district with contacting an unlicensed business in the 3000 block of West Broadway. Individuals were told by code enforcement and the health district that they needed to take the business down and were warned by them.
Report of suspect breaking into fenced storage units by cutting the fence then fled from property. Suspect was located at nearby business and booked into jail for second-degree burglary and possessing burglar tools.
Report of Pacific Security employee locking himself in bathroom at McCosh Park. Employee was contacted and police had to unlock the dead bolt of the door.
Report of juveniles ringing doorbells and running away while screaming. One was taken home and the other’s only parent is in the hospital. Arrangements were made with her to stay with responsible adult.
Report of homeowner calling police because someone was stealing power by charging their phone with the residence’s external power outlets on West Ridge Road. The suspect was trespassed.
