Harley Ottmar
Harley Ottmar, 97, of Moses Lake passed away at Samaritan Hospital on July 16, 2025.
Harley was born in Wheeler, Wash., on Oct. 30, 1927, to Christ and Pauleen Ottmar.
He briefly attended Eastern Washington University before joining the United States Air Force.
Harley met Juanita Brown in December of 1952, and they were married May 23, 1953.
Harley and his brother owned and operated a farm for many years. Fascinated by finance, he worked as a loan officer for Production Credit Association until retirement.
Harley loved cars; he volunteered for the Moses Lake Classic Car Club and loved having his classic Cadillacs and 1964 (1/2) Ford Mustang in the Spring Festival Parade.
Harley had a close relationship with his Creator; he kept several personal handwritten prayers in his wallet. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he served God and the church in many ways over the years.
Harley was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, and his brother, Victor.
He is survived by his sister, Irene, daughter Brenda (Jesse Kilpatrick), grandsons Richard Miller (Amanda), Aaron Miller (Amy), and Nicholas Mahaney, and his great-grandsons, Kristopher, Kurtis, Dylan and Owen.
A service will be held at Pioneer Memorial Gardens at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24, for all who wish to attend.
