Tower Pizza car show coming to Crescent Bar in August

CRESCENT BAR — There’s still a lot of summer to go, but – alas, eventually summer ends. The owners of Tower Pizza on Crescent Bar plan to send out summer with a bang Aug. 24. Michelle Walsh of Tower Pizza said 2025 will be the fourth year for the Tower Pizza car show.
“A lot of us around here have old cars, and we thought it would be fun to bring them out,” Walsh said.
The show will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Tower Pizza parking lot, 8995 Crescent Bar Rd. NW.
Drivers who want to register in advance can find information on Tower Pizza social media, but it’s not required. Walsh said there is a fee, but it’s collected at the door.
“I take the $5 cash when you roll up,” she said.
An incident with scammers targeting participants in 2024, she said, prompted her to opt for cash only.
The first show attracted about 20 cars, she said, but that’s grown over time, with 80 cars on display in 2024.
Rides will compete in six categories, including best antique, best classic, best modern, best rat rod, best motorcycle and crowd favorite.
“It’s been a really fun event,” Walsh said.
