MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Farmers Market is returning for its first market of the year Saturday, Feb. 8. The Cupid’s Market is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grant County Fairgrounds Commercial Building. There will be plenty of homemade gifts, perfect for your Valentine. The Moses Lake Farmers Market recently got a new number, 509-237-2100 for those with any questions.
OTHELLO – The Othello Police Department released a reminder this is the last week to get 2025 dog license tags for January rates. Starting this upcoming Saturday, rates will increase. For altered dog tags it's $6 in January for $15 in February and for unaltered tags its $15 in January and $30 in February. To get tags, residents need to bring in proof of vaccines, proof of neutering or spaying and cash or check. Fines include $431 per violation, including dog at large, rabies vaccination and failure to license.
OTHELLO – As you may begin to clean out or declutter in the new year, the Othello Police Department wants to remind residents there is a drug disposal box in the City Hall foyer. This is a safe place to take any prescribed medicine that you no longer take or is expired. According to OPD, safe disposal boxes help reduce access, reduce abuse and help protect the planet.
QUINCY – Grant Public Utility District released a statement saying there were wires on the ground near Quincy Sunday. Around 431 customers were impacted; however, power has been restored as of Monday afternoon.
