Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars brings in more than $14,000

MOSES LAKE — The Central Basin Community Concert Association’s second annual Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars event raised more than $14,000, according to an announcement from the CBCCA.
The top fundraiser was Lacey Fitterer, who brought in $3,940, according to the announcement. Fitterer’s nightclub two-step performance also netted her the coveted mirrored ball trophy.
Besides ticket sales, dancers raised funds by soliciting donations out in the community, and also from audience members who paid for extra votes. Fitterer collected donations from 21 donors, more than any of her competitors, according to the announcement.
Care Moses Lake ran the refreshment table and Butterflies & Bumblebees donated cookies for the occasion, the announcement said. The Ramada Inn housed the dancers from the Utah Dance Company and Jay Ballinger provided a dance floor for practice, the CBCCA wrote.

The CBCCA’s next event is a concert by the Hall Sisters on March 24, the announcement said.
“The Hall Sisters have established themselves as one of the up-and-coming and premier acts in the country pop genre.” the CBCCA wrote. “While releasing multiple CDs over the last few years and writing new material, the ensemble has also maintained a robust tour schedule having performed on notable stages such as The Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and at Dollywood.”
