‘Hello, Dolly!’

Kitchen Sink Science: Blubber — Thermoregulation
How do whales stay warm in the cold oceans? We will make an insulated mitt and find out. This is a fun science class where you will learn new things and investigate the science all around you. Speed Puzzling
Gather up a team of family or friends and compete against other seriously fast puzzlers from around the region. Teams of up to five race the clock to sort, build and complete their puzzle in the shortest time for fame, glory and prizes. Don't have a team? FAFSA assistance
Getting started with federal student aid can be tricky. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid form is used to apply for financial aid for college and grad school. Like a lot of federal forms, it’s a bit of a lift, but it unlocks opportunities for student loans, scholarships, grants, work-study programs and more. Spokane teachers Credit Union is partnering with Launch NW and the College Success Foundation to provide qualified help completing the FAFSA. It’s free for any community member with a student considering higher education. STCU membership is not required to attend. No registration necessary. Participants should bring 2023 federal tax return, bank account balances and other financial information. A laptop with Wi-Fi capability is helpful but not necessary. Pottery Club
Are you interested in trying pottery? This casual pottery program is your chance to get your hands dirty and give it a go. This class is geared towards self-starters and the museum will provide you with a small amount of clay, tools and glaze. Three pottery wheels are also available for more experienced potters. Each session includes a bisque fire and a glaze fire. Glaze days are two weeks after each session or by appointment. 1-3 p.m. at the Moses Lake Museum & Art Center, 401 S. Free Family Saturday

Waypoint Foundation Scholastic Chess Tournament
