Law Enforcement logs for Feb. 28, 2025

The reports below were provided by sheriff’s office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Ephrata PD 

Feb. 20 

Report of theft in Royal City. Reporting party said she sent a money order to the subject which was supposed to be used to bail the reporting party’s brother out of jail. Reporting party sent money, money picked up, brother never bailed out. Subject not taking phone calls now.  

Report of fraud. Unknown suspect opened Verizon account in reporting party’s name. Reporting party received the bill and went to contest it. Reporting party advised to run credit checks on accounts. 

Report of cold theft at business on Basin Street SW. Four juvenile subjects stole several items from the store. Call was 25 minutes cold when dispatched. Photographs logged. Reporting party asked the subject be trespassed if identified.  

Feb. 21 

Report of trespassing at store on Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said subject entered store during closed hours. Reporting party told subject to get out. Subject found and given a ride to Moses Lake upon request. Subject was trespassed.  

Report of physical domestic in 200 block Division.  

Report of harassment at 10 block C street NW. Reporting party said male suspect came in to handle business with the assessor's office. According to the witness, the suspect was not pleased with answers received and upon exiting office he made an open-ended threat.  

Report of physical disturbance in 1500 block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said two male suspects physically fighting. Male suspect later found in Soap Lake where he was booked for second-degree robbery, fourth-degree assault and eluding police.  

Report of juveniles ringing the reporting party’s doorbell and running off. Juveniles contacted and admitted to rinding the bell. Mom contacted. Mom to discipline the boys. 

Feb. 22 

Report of collision in parking lot on Nat. Washington Way. Vehicle one backed out into vehicle two.  

Report of aggressive dog in 6th Ave. SE. Reporting party said he heard barking and saw a brown and white dog barking aggressively towards his son. 10-15 yards between dog and child. Child scared to move. Reporting party grabbed son and dog left westbound.  

Report of gunshots or fireworks in the area of 4th Ave. NW. The reporting party was intoxicated and said the sound came from the “swamps,” or “Canada.” Police checked area.  

Feb. 23 

Report of traffic violation on 2nd Ave. SW between D Street and E Street. Reporting party said semi truck facing the wrong way on the road. Reporting party had reported truck prior. Police gave suspect warning on last interaction and said he would get citation next time. 

Report of domestic in 1200 block of Basin Street NW. Male suspect made threats and believed suspect could follow through with threats.  

Report of collision in parking lot on Nat Washington Way. Driver two reporting vehicle one had side-swiped his vehicle while parking. 

Report of drugs in the 300 block of Basin Street SW. Reporting party said male subject used public bathroom and left it with a bad odor.  

Feb. 24 

Report of subject throwing rocks into the roadway on Division Avenue E. Subject contacted with garbage can and mop, subject attempted to add sand and gravel to road which he said was too slippery. Subject asked to stop and did.  

Report of juvenile subject breaking television, threw it outside and stomped on it. Unknown what caused the incident. Juvenile arrested without incident and booked to Chelan County Juvenile.  

Report of subject entering courthouse after closing through the unlocked front door. While inside, subject pulled the fire alarm and left. Reporting party does not with to pursue charges but would like the subject to be spoken to. 

Report of lost wallet and cellphone at business on North Basin Street. Reporting party said he left the phone and wallet on top of the car when he drove away from the store. Contacted business no one turned them in.  

Report of theft. Reporting party called to say his uniforms stolen from his porch. Reporting party has ring doorbell footage. Suspects were two young subjects. Reporting party to press charges. 

Feb. 25 

Report of suspect stealing necklace and food items at business on Basin St. NW. Victim to pursue charges.  

Report of cold damage on Westshore Drive NE. Unknown suspect damaged the front windshield of the reporting party’s vehicle causing it to crack. 

Report of suspicious juveniles trying to open reporting party’s truck door. Truck alarm went off and juveniles got inside the honda sedan. Subjects need to be identified. 

Report of juvenile entering business on N. Basin street and stealing a bottle of alcohol. Picture of juvenile filed. 

Moses Lake PD 

Feb. 22 

Report of domestic incident on W. Shelby Street.  

Report of collision on W. Wall Street. Vehicle one backed out his driveway into vehicle two traveling northwest on roadway. 

Report of white sedan with no back windshield driving erratically on W Market Street. Police responded, no vehicle matching description. 

Report of unknown male subject taking two large buzz balls at business on W. Valley Road. Subject left and unable to locate. 

Report of subject taking several medications and fentanyl on W. Marina Drive. Subject administered narcan to himself and called 911. Moses Lake Fire Department transported male to emergency room.  

Report of four juvenile subjects arrested for theft. One suspect had a firearm on his person and was booked into juvenile for second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and third-degree theft. Charges to be filed on other three suspects. 

Report of two suspects eating food and leaving without paying at restaurant on N. Stratford Road. Suspects trespassed.  

Report of verbal domestic in Quail Run Trailer Park. Male subject arrested and booked into Grant County Jail. 

Feb. 23 

Suspect stopped for driving 54 in 40 mph zone on W. Broadway Ave. Suspect found to be DUI. Suspect processed and released. 

Two juveniles detained at business on N. Stratford Road for taking over $200 worth of makeup without paying. Parents notified and charges to be filed.  

Feb. 24 

Report of cold hit and run on Feb. 22. The reporting party said she was shopping at three different locations on this date. Officers were unable to determine where or how the damage occurred.  

Report of collision in parking lot on S. Pioneer Way. Vehicle one backed out of parking space and collided with vehicle two. 

Report of two-vehicle collision on Highland Drive NE. Vehicle one crossed over the lane during a curve in the roadway and hit vehicle two in the front of the vehicle. 

Report of two vehicle on Broadway Ave headed west. Vehicle one pumped the rear of vehicle two. 

Report of theft at business on N. Stratford Road. Suspect left the store without paying for two pairs of shoes, food and pet items totaling around $250. Suspect has been involved in other thefts.  

Report of cold robbery on W. Broadway Avenue. Juvenile suspect approached juvenile and demanded money. When juvenile refused, the juvenile suspect told the juvenile he had a gun. The juvenile gave the suspect the money as he was afraid. The suspect was booked into juvenile detention center.  

Report of hit and run in hotel parking lot on E. Kittelson Road. Reporting party said suspect appeared intoxicated. Suspect backed into reporting party’s vehicle and fled. 

Report of female suspect in store potentially stealing on S. Pioneer Way. Reporting party said female suspect entered the store with empty duffel bag and might have placed items in bag. Female suspect began to leave when police arrived. Suspect detained and opened her bag. Reporting party confirmed no store items in the bag.

Report of male in the bathroom bleeding because he had been assaulted at business on S. Pioneer Way. Police contacted male who said someone attacked him but he did not know who. Subject did not want medical attention or to pursue charges. 

Reporting party said she saw a cougar in her yard on W. Malaga Ave. After police reviewed footage it was determined it was just a regular cat on top of her garbage cans.  

Feb. 25 

Report of two subjects passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot on S. Pioneer Way. The reporting party said there were drugs and paraphernalia visible in the vehicle. Officers found the vehicle running with the diver passed out with drug paraphernalia in his hand and burnt tinfoil next to him. Officers removed subjects from vehicle and searched them and the vehicle. All drugs and drug paraphernalia entered for destruction.
