Ephrata police logs for Feb. 10-12, 2025

The reports below were provided by the Ephrata Police Department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Reports from other area agencies are in flux due to the change to a new dispatching system. Ephrata is utilizing the prior system for blotter purposes during this time, but other agencies have chosen not to do so. 

Feb. 10 

Report of cold damage and disturbance at an apartment building in the 100 block of C Street Southwest. Suspect wrote on the glass of the back door with marker complaining about OSHA violations. Suspect returned following morning and threatened staff member. 

Report of possible DUI on Cottage Street SE. Gone on police arrival.  

Report of theft at Ephrata High School. Reporting person said it was a $250 Supreme Belt from local business. Spoke to high school security, attempted to speak to business owner. The belt was subsequently located and returned to its owner. 

Feb. 11 

Report of cold damage on Patrick Road. Black and blue graffiti on concrete wall. Photo taken and owner advised to clean it up. 

Report of cold hit and run that happened Friday. Reporting party said he was in a parking lot and then noticed damage to the side of his vehicle after he left the lot. 

Report of male suspect dressed in all black hanging out behind a business on Second Street SE. Manager wanted suspect trespassed. Suspect was trespassed. Suspect booked into Grant County Jail on a warrant.  

Report of cold malicious mischief on South Balsam Street. Reporting party said unknown suspect smashed his windshield. Upon inspection, police assumed it was a hammer used. 

Report of collision. Driver one was in parking lot backing out. Vehicle two parked directly behind vehicle one with nobody inside. Driver one backed into vehicle two. Reportable damage.   

Report of disturbance, possible fight, and possible weapons on Hilltop Drive Southeast. Subjects were uncooperative. All stated it was verbal only. All denied weapons. Male subject walked off towards home. Female subject went inside residence. Both appeared intoxicated. 

Feb. 12 

Report of cold burglary on B Street Northeast and Division Avenue East. Reporting party said the work trailer on the construction site was broken into overnight. Itemized statement of loss filled out, charges to be filed if suspect is identified.  

Report of female suspect on reporting party’s property causing a disturbance. After several attempts to get female suspect back to her apartment, she was arrested and booked on harassment and disorderly conduct. Female suspect transported to Grant County Jail. 

Report of juvenile female detained for theft of noodles. Juvenile male stole gel blaster gun. Juvenile male trespassed from store. 

Report of Ephrata PD assisting Soap Lake PD with possible burglary.
