Donna Leighter enjoyed reading and crafts, but absolutely loved adventures with her partner Hap and her loving family.
Donna Marie Leighter, 82, of Ephrata, Wash., passed away peacefully Feb. 10, 2025, in Palm Springs, Calif.
Born on May 22, 1942, in Minnesota to Willard and Evelyn Brandonberg, Donna was raised and educated in the Spokane Valley, Wash. She dedicated 34 years of her life to teaching elementary school, leaving a lasting impact on countless students before retiring.
Donna found joy in gardening, sewing, and reading. She had a love for travel and cherished every adventure shared with her devoted companion of 30 years, Hap Weidner. A woman of faith, she was an active member of Living Word Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Brad.
She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Leighter; her grandson, Josh Leighter; her sisters, Sharon Hester and Billie Middleton; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.
A graveside service will be held at Ephrata Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025. A memorial service celebrating her life will take place in May at Living Word Lutheran Church.
