Port of Ephrata approves roof repair
EPHRATA — The Port of Ephrata passed a resolution approving a $158,000 roof repair for Hangar 405 at its meeting Monday.
“We have some leaking that needs to be addressed,” Executive Director David Lanman said. “It's a very old roof, so we made the move to go ahead and get it sealed with a solution that will help prevent further leaking. It’s a cost-effective move to make to prevent having to replace the roof, which would have been very expensive.”
The other resolution on the agenda was a heater installation project; however, that was postponed.
“We have further revealing and solicitation for counter bids before we put it to the vote,” Lanman said.
Lanman said this resolution could take some time to work through, and he is unsure when the board will vote upon it.
