Quincy pursuit ends in one arrest
On Sunday morning, a pursuit of one subject happened with the Quincy Police Department and Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The pursuit ended with 20-year-old Raymundo Villalobos Chavarin, of Quincy being arrested on several counts.

QUINCY — Raymundo Villalobos Chavarin, 20, of Quincy, was arrested early Sunday morning after leading Grant County Sheriff’s deputies and Quincy Police Department officers on a pursuit around the Quincy area, according to a statement from GCSO.
The incident began when a Washington State Patrol trooper was investigating an unrelated driving under the influence case. The trooper radioed that a dark colored sports car was traveling westbound on State Route 28 towards Quincy, going at least 90 miles per hour.
A few minutes later, a GCSO deputy noticed a black 2011 Jaguar XF parked at the Jackpot Food Mart on F Street Southeast. The deputy discovered the license plate belonged to a Mercedes-Benz.
The car backed out of the gas station and deputies alongside QPD officers pursued the vehicle. The chase ended when the Jaguar broke down on Road N.5 Northwest.
Villalobos Chavarin, who was driving the vehicle, was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail. His passenger was released since they had committed no crime, according to GCSO.
According to the Grant County Jail roster, Villalobos Chavarin was booked on Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Third-Degree Driving with License Suspended, Reckless Endangerment and Attempting to Elude. As of Monday afternoon, he did not have a bail set.
