One arrested on warrants after attempting to hide
WARDEN — At around 11 a.m. Monday, a Warden Police Department officer attempted contact with a subject in the 300 block of South Ash Street. According to a statement from WPD, the subject was wanted for an outstanding warrant for third-degree theft.
The officer had told the subject that he was under arrest, resulting in the subject fleeing into a residence and attempting to hide, according to WPD. Additional officers responded and surrounded the residence. Eventually, the subject exited the residence and surrendered. He was taken into custody without incident.
According to the Grant County Jail Roster, Miguel M. Ramirez, 38, was booked into the Grant County Jail on Monday on three Grant County District Court warrants, obstructing a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. As of Monday afternoon, Ramirez did not have a bail listed.
