PROJECT: The proposed Quincy Transmission Expansion Plan (QTEP) - Columbia to Mountain View 230 kV Transmission Line will construct approximately 3 miles of 230kV transmission line from the existing Columbia to Rocky Ford 230kV Line segment to the Mountain View Substation in the City of Quincy. The proposed project will result in the installation of a total of 36 poles, of which four (4) will be located within the City of Quincy and the remainder will be located in Grant County. The proposed project is a linear transmission line (3 miles) and will result in work occurring on numerous parcels. Work will occur within existing rights-of-way or Grant PUD has acquired easements on encumbered parcels. The primary project component is the installation of transmission poles at 36 locations followed by the installation of the new line. Pole height will range from 40 ft to 115 ft. Access to the majority of the pole locations will occur on existing access roads and from an existing dirt road. Actual ground disturbance for the pole locations will be limited to approximately 0.73 acres, which is defined by an approximately 80 ft by 80 ft area surrounding the pole locations.
