MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Pals Club is set to hold a fundraiser at Crumbl Cookies on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. The proceeds will go to support the upcoming unified basketball and soccer seasons.

“This is our third one with Crumbl and the kids love it,” said Sarah White, Mavs assistant coach for Unified Sports. “It’s fun. Who doesn’t love cookies?”

This time around, the Pals Club will bring some outside heaters to keep warm and set up a hot cocoa bar for those who stop in. White said they will try to set up some other festive aspects, such as an appearance from the Grinch for free photos to have a winter-themed fundraiser.

She said the top buyer of the night will receive a golden basketball signed by the unified players.

During this fundraiser, 10% of the profits from cookies sold at Crumbl will go toward the Unified booster, she said. This year’s goal is to raise enough money to purchase matching zip-up warm-ups for the players as they get ready to start their season.

“We got them a year or two ago and our students love them,” said White.

The start of the Unified basketball season is fast approaching, with the first practice taking place on Dec. 15 and White said this fundraiser is a great way to get the players and community excited for the start of their season.

“Our players have fun and coming together outside, socially, it’s a highlight," she said. “Anyone and everyone that comes will have a good time no matter what.”

White said she appreciates all of the support that the community has shown to the Mavs Unified teams over the years and is happy that the team once again has been given the opportunity from Crumbl to do a fundraiser.

The first game of the Unified basketball season is set for Jan. 6 at 4 p.m.
