Joyce Abraham
Joyce Phyllis Abraham died Aug. 8, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born Aug. 7, 1943, in Lancaster, Calif.
Joyce was raised in Portland, Ore., where she met her husband, Harlan Abraham, and married him Dec. 4, 1962. The couple lived in California while Harlan served in the Navy, then moved to Washington and raised their family in Ravensdale. After her husband retired from Boeing, they were looking for a small-town feel and less traffic, bringing them to Moses Lake, Wash., in 1999. Joyce retired from the Ephrata School District.
Joyce was a talented quilter, traveling to several quilt shows across the states with members of her quilting group. She and her husband enjoyed taking cruises during retirement and enjoying the simple life. One of her most memorable travels was to Ireland, where she found her great-great-great-grandparents' apartment building still standing. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Joyce is survived by her son, Lloyd Abraham and daughter-in-law, Darla Abraham of Auburn, Wash., and daughter, Corie Abraham-Sealey of Moses Lake. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Edward, Matthew, Jessica, Colton, Shalee, Casey, Laynie and Alex. Eight great-grandchildren: Lucas, Lindsey, Taylor, Isaiah, Sawyer, Declan, Adeline and Lilith.
A memorial service will be held in Moses Lake.
