| August 14, 2025 2:31 PM

Robert (Bob) Lynn Bozeman, 81, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born March 15, 1944, in Ontario, Ore., to Nathan and Nannie Maud Bozeman. His family moved to various places, eventually settling in Moses Lake, Wash., where Bob graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1962. After high school he attended Big Bend Community College for two years, then transferred to Central Washington University in Ellensburg. It was during his time at CWU that he met his future wife, Jolyne Reiswig, when she happened to be visiting a mutual friend on campus. While at CWU, Bob enlisted in the United States Army and served our country for three years from 1966 to 1969 with one year of service in Vietnam.

Bob and Jolyne were married Nov. 9, 1968, in Bellevue, Wash. They lived in New Jersey their first year of marriage where he completed his obligation to the Army at Fort Monmouth, N.J. Once released from the Army, Bob and Jolyne returned to CWU where Bob graduated with a teaching degree in 1971. At this time, they moved to Moses Lake, Wash., where they raised their two girls, Jenny and Tanya. Bob taught at Chief Moses Middle School for four years. He later transitioned to a job at the Safeway Milk Plant until they closed, which prompted his early retirement. Throughout the rest of Bob’s life he continued to enjoy spending time with his wife and family, volunteering at church and tending to his tomato plants and flowers.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Nannie Maud Bozeman and his sisters Joann Cagle and Betty Shropshire. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jolyne;, their two daughters Jenny (Kory) Klassen-Brackett and Tanya (Brian) Saindon; their seven grandchildren Noah, Lynsey, Bailey, Dalton, Alex, Hannah and Caitlin; one great-grandchild Boston; and many other loving family members.

We want to thank Assured Hospice and the staff of Serengeti Respite Care for helping take such good care of Bob in his last months of life. Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Journey Church, 303 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake, Wash.
