John Wayne Thorn & Carol Ann Thorn

John Wayne Thorn was born Sept. 28, 1936, and passed Aug. 8, 2018. He was 82 years old at the time of his passing. 

Carol Ann Thorn was born Feb. 9, 1940, and passed away July 23, 2020, at the age of 80.  

John and Carol were married in Moses Lake, Wash., in 1958 and spent their entire married life working, raising their three sons and caring for their home in Moses Lake.  John arrived in Moses Lake with the U.S. Air Force. Carol was a young girl when her family moved here while her father ran a huge dragline excavator that dug the irrigation canals.   

John worked many years for various companies, mostly with Fabers Industrial Supply and Columbia Bearing. Carol was a homemaker and avid gardener.  

They are survived by their three sons, Thomas A. Thorn, James W. Thorn and John “Mac” Thorn.   

Rest in peace, Mom and Dad.

Interment and graveside memorial with military honors will be held at Pioneer Memorial Gardens cemetery on Aug. 23, 2025, at 11 a.m.
