MLPD logs for Aug. 8, 2025
The reports below were provided by the Moses Lake Police Department. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 2
Report of Doordash account getting hacked. Reporting party said it locked his bank, Cashapp card and Doordash account. Reporting party provided with case number.
Report of two subjects contacted and trespassed from business on South Pioneer Way per request of business.
Report of stolen bike on West Marina Drive. Reporting party would like to press charges if suspect if identified. Bike is red BMX style bike.
Report of female stealing items from store on North Stratford Road. Upon arrest, suspect admitted to taking items from four additional stores in the area. All stores were contacted and requested subject to be charged for theft and permanently trespassed. Suspect was booked into Grant County Jail for retail theft with extenuating circumstances and five counts of third-degree theft.
Report of male camping in the back of building on North Stratford Road. Reporting party asked for parties to be trespassed. Two males signed trespass form.
Report of purse stolen on South Pilgrim Street. Reporting party said she was given a ride to Department of Social and Health Services and left her purse in the car. The purse contained medication, a prepaid debit card and $10.
Report of shirtless male bleeding from the face. Male said he tripped and was taken to hospital by EMS.
Report of traffic collision in the intersection of Wheeler Road and Road L Northeast. Both vehicles required to be towed from the scene. Vehicle one was making a left turn onto Wheller Road to head eastbound. Vehicle two was traveling westbound on Wheeler Road. The two cars collided.
Report of assault on South Belair Drive. Suspect assaulted victim and fled the area in vehicle. Suspect not located. Victim had minor cuts to face and received medical care at Samaritan. Charges to be filed.
Aug. 3
Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a potential K9 call at Road 4.7 Northeast.
Report of MLPD conducting traffic stop on South Beaumont Drive and found the driver to be third-degree driving with license suspended. Also located a vape on the driver, open container in vehicle and another vape on a juvenile in the vehicle. All passengers were under 21 years of age. Report to follow.
Report of police arresting on female for multiple counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence at Airway Drive Northeast.
Report of subjects camping behind business on North Stratford Road. Employee was contacted and wanted them trespassed. Female subject had a warrant and was arrested and booked on warrant. Both subjects advised they were trespassed.
Report of reporting party receiving a call from someone claiming to be with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office as a Lt. with the Grant County Jail. The caller said the reporting party had not appeared to federal jury duty and she had a warrant for her arrest. The reporting party confirmed with officers that she did not have warrant. The call was confirmed as fraud.
Report of daughter’s ex-boyfriend hacking her Snapchat account and obtaining lude photos of the daughter. The reporting party said the ex was threatening her daughter saying he was going to sell the photos of her online unless she sent him new lude photos. Officers contacted juvenile's father and advised him of the above. Father said he was to confiscate his son’s phone and prevent the following from occurring. There is no evidence the suspect sold child porn online for money at this time. The reporting party agreed to provide proof of threats made by suspect.
Report of male subject slumped over in vehicle with driver’s door open. Male subject contacted on West Central Drive with drug paraphernalia located in vehicle. Male subject gave consent to search the vehicle. Paraphernalia taken for destruction. Male told to not drive and he walked home.
Report of juvenile drinking alcohol and was previously trespassed from the event the night before. Reporting party said the juvenile was not wearing wristband and knew she was not allowed at the event. Juvenile released to adult.
Aug. 4
Report of several cars at business at South Pioneer Way, sleeping in vehicles in parking lot. The reporting party asked for subjects to be trespassed. Subjects trespassed and left without incident.
Report of table saw, air compressor, speaker box and other tools stolen from garage on North Central Drive. No cameras in area and no suspects at this time.
Report of unknown subjects breaking into construction site on East Fifth Avenue and stealing companies power tools and stayed in the building gover the weekend removing stolen items. Construction company to provide a list of tools to enter as stolen with serial numbers.
Report of vehicle keyed on South Pioneer Way. Officers found the reporting party’s vehicle was keyed on passenger side upper wheel well. Officers reviewed the video of the reporting party’s car and saw no one damage the vehicle. The reporting party was notified.
Report of dirt bike stolen in 2020 and no suspects were listed at time of theft. The reporting party said the bike was his and he saw it on Facebook. The reporting party gave specific things to look for which officers found when the bike was located. The bike was taken back and logged into evidence until the reporting party could come get it.
Report of the owner of the old Rite Aid building asked for anyone attempting to stay on property to be trespassed.
Report of theft of around 2,000 to 3,000 Magic the Gathering cards. Reporting party said they were taken from his vehicle while parked on North Fig Street. Cards were in black tactical backpack in the trunk of vehicle. Unknown how suspect entered the vehicle. Suspect to pursue charge is suspect is identified.
Report of four-week infant testing positive for fentanyl at local hospital. Infant taken into protective custody.
Report of Adams County Sheriff’s Office in pursuit of vehicle, last seen on Highway 17 towards Moses Lake. Vehicle was located and crashed shortly afterwards, hitting another vehicle. Suspect vehicle had been called in as impaired driver and was involved in hit and run collision earlier in night. Driver taken into custody for eluding, DUI and first-degree driving with license suspended.
