SOAP LAKE — A Moses Lake man was killed Saturday morning in a collision just outside Soap Lake, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol.
The man was identified as Ricardo Alcantar Mesina, 39, according to the statement.
At about 6:30 a.m., Alcantar Mesina was driving west on State Route 28 in a 2007 Nissan Murano, according to the statement, when Chloe R. Goforth, 20, of Wenatchee, driving a 2014 Kia Soul, attempted to make a left turn from eastbound SR 28 onto SR 17 going into Soap Lake. She was struck by Alcantar Mesina’s vehicle and came to rest on the shoulder, while Alcantar Mesina’s vehicle came to rest in the ditch. Goforth was transported to Central Washington Hospital.
