Two injured in collision near Ephrata
EPHRATA — An East Wenatchee woman was airlifted to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital after she ran a stop sign and hit another car about 5 miles south of Ephrata on Monday morning.
Mckenna Walters was driving east on Road 9 Northwest at about 10:15 a.m. when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Road 9 NW and State Route 283, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.
Walters hit a car driven by Silvino Ortega-Cruz, 26, Royal City, who was driving south on SR 283. Ortega-Cruz was also transported to Confluence Health-CWH, the WSP press release said.
Walters was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
