Law Enforcement Logs for April 25, 2025

The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.   

Ephrata PD 

April 17 

Report of black Dodge Charger driving recklessly, last seen northbound on C Street Northwest. Numerous complaints added to the call. 

Report of subject making customers at a business on Basin Street Southwest uncomfortable. Subject was escorted out of store. Subject transported to homeless shelter in Moses Lake per subject’s request. 

Report of three dogs in alleyway. No chips found. Dogs had collars without tags and looked well taken care of. Dogs told to go home. 

April 18 

Report of female leaving her child unattended in the car when she went to the store. Vehicle left within three minutes of the report. Ephrata PD located the subject. She said she left her child in the car when she went in to pay for gas. She was informed of the dangers associated with it. 

Report of assist for GCSO with vehicle collision into a power box on Dodson Road Northwest. Driver taken into custody by GCSO for DUI. 

Report of collision in 2200 Block of Basin Street Southwest. Vehicle one was east bound on Loop Main. Vehicle one did not see vehicle two travelling southbound and collided. 

Report of cold theft. Reporting party said her sons Air Pods were missing or stolen since Wednesday. The Air Pods pinged at local business. Subject contacted and produced Air Pods.  

April 19 

Report of suspicious circumstances in the 700 block of First Avenue Northwest. Reporting party said male suspect stole a cross from the church. Male suspect contacted and told to return the cross. Male suspect upset but said he understood what needed to happen.  

April 20 

Report of shoplifter in custody. Suspect was caught under-ringing items. Suspect also switched tags on one item. Post Miranda, suspect admitted to theft. Search incident to arrest. Suspect was in violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Theft value $74.92.  

April 21 

Report of collision on roundabout on A Street Southeast. Vehicle two was on state Route 282 and approached the roundabout without yielding. Vehicle one collided with vehicle two.  

Report of suspect coming onto property on Nat Washington Way after being previously trespassed. Suspect confronted by reporting party and left. Reporting party said suspect has come onto property on multiple occasions and wished for the suspect to be charged with trespassing.  

April 22 

Report of suspect climbing the spiral staircase next to the courthouse and getting on the roof the previous night. Reporting party said the suspect lowered the flag as well. Reporting party wants suspect to stay away for safety reason. Suspect located and warned for trespassing. 

Report of unknown suspect stealing multiple packages totaling around $300-$400. Suspect stole packages from residence and went into alley on Third Avenue Southeast.  

Report of package theft on Hilltop Drive Southeast. 

Moses Lake PD 

April 19 

Report of suspect taken in on warrants out of Spokane and Grant County. 

Report of three juveniles males tagging a fence on Highland Drive Northeast. Reporting party said they confronted the subjects and they became confrontational.  Males fled scene and vehicle was located with subjects arrested. Offenses include obstructing justice, assault/intimidation, search warrant, impounded vehicle and gang related incident.  

Report of traffic collision before stop light. Vehicle two was beginning to accelerate at green light and vehicle one rear-ended vehicle two. 

Moses Lake Fire Department requesting law enforcement for fight in progress on South Beech Street. Parties were not cooperative with law enforcement. During the investigation, a box of ammunition was located in an involved vehicle that contained a convicted felon. Suspect vehicle was taken for search warrant application.  

Report of two vehicle, non-injury collision. Vehicle one was stopped at stop sign and vehicle two collided with the rear end of vehicle one causing slight damage to vehicle one’s rear bumper.  

Report of road rage incident that escalated to a physical altercation on East Broadway Avenue. 

Report of unknown suspect breaking into reporting party’s shed some time over the past month and stealing two AR-15 rifles and an AK-47 on North Daniel Street. Victim provided with stolen items report form and told to fill out upon confirmation of serial numbers. 

Report of gang related incident on West Valley Road.  

Report of physical altercation in the parking lot of business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party said fight ended and one car possibly backed into the other involved male's vehicle. Video surveillance of the incident obtained.  

Report of MLPD K-9 assisting Washington State Patrol for felony hit and run and DUI suspect. Suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. K-9 report completed.  

April 20 

Washington State Patrol said there were two vehicles driving over 100 miles per hour towards Moses Lake on state Route 17. Grant County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle and pursued with MLPD assistance. The vehicle was located and the driver was arrested. 

Report of iPhone crash notification on North Dale Road. Upon police arrival, officers observed a single-vehicle accident. The vehicle had collided with a street sign and light pole. The driver was arrested for DUI. 

Report of front plate of reporting party’s vehicle stolen on West Marina Drive.  

Report of three car blocking traffic accident on West Valley Road and North Central Drive. Driver one was heading down alley towards intersection when driver one collided with driver two. Driver two collided with driver three who was sitting at the intersection. Driver one’s side airbag deployed and driver had minor leg pain. Driver two had 5 passengers with two complaining about head pain. Driver two had no airbag deployment. Driver three reported minor back pain but did not need medical attention. All involved had seatbelts on at the time of impact. 

April 21 

Report of bike theft on South Alder Street. Unknown suspect stole reporting party’s nephew’s bike from front porch. Incident caught on video. Reporting party wishes to press charges if suspect is identified. 

Report of physical domestic in Sleep Center parking lot. Female arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence. 

Report of student in possession of marijuana vape pen at Vanguard Academy. School administration disciplined the student per school policy. SRO seized the vape pen and logged it into evidence at MLPD. 

Report of student in possession of marijuana vape pen at Endeavor Middle School. Charges will be filed. Student released to parent.  

Report of Moses Lake High School student creating a song harassing victims. Victims reported the issue to the high school principal. Principal made student delete the song and told victims to petition for harassment order.  

Report of student with marijuana vape pen at Columbia Middle School. Charges to be filed.  

Report of victim getting scammed into sending money electronically because the suspect threatened the reporting party saying they were going to call them a sex offender online. Reporting party was informed it was a scam and told to block the suspect.  

Reporting party said she was cleaning the apartment of a deceased tenant and located drug paraphernalia. Officers took possession of meth, glass pipes and prescription medications. Items were properly disposed of.  

Report of “MS13” and “SUR 13” graffiti on sidewalk on West Knolls Vista Drive. 

Report of reporting party saying her property was being used to store vehicles that do not run on Parkway Drive Northeast. Reporting party said she had let the subject use her vacant property to store a couple of vehicles to get them off the street. The subject now has 17 vehicles on reporting party’s property. Reporting party wants the subject to remove them.  

Report of rolling domestic on West Gary Street. The victim sustained visible injuries.  

Report of female suspect leaving store on North Stratford Road without paying for a bag of groceries. The cost was around $62.56. Suspect handed the bag of groceries back to a staff member but would not comply with security and walked out. Suspect left in vehicle that is registered to out of town. 

Report of employee who may be intoxicated on North Stratford Road. GCSO located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. MLPD responded and assisted deputy. GCSO placed subject into custody for DUI. 

April 22 

Report of domestic violence West Marina Drive. Suspect arrested and booked without incident. 

Report of unauthorized access to bank account using a PayPal and Google account. There is an ongoing investigation.  

Report of possible theft and trespassing on South Pioneer Way. Employee unsure if anything was taken but wants suspect trespassed if identified. 

Report of vehicle one rear ending vehicle two at Moses Lake High School.  

Report of cold theft. Suspect identified and had been previously trespassed. 

Report of physical domestic on West Loop Drive. Male booked for two counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Report of cold burglary on Turnkey Road Northeast. Fence was cut and reporting party asked for extra patrols. 

Report of officers assisting GCSO with an arrest at Sun Drive Northeast following a domestic violence incident. 

Report of golf cart speeding on South Bayside Street and West Peninsula Drive. Gone on police arrival. 

Report of Washington State Patrol having three passengers run from a traffic stop near Grape Drive and state Route 17. MLPD responded and assisted with the stop.

April 17 

Report of loose dock in the middle of the lake near North Westshore Drive in Moses Lake.  

Report of a company vehicle stolen the previous night. 

Report of cold burglary and gang graffiti in the area. 

Report from Pasco police that a drive-by shooting suspect had fled to address in Grant County. Requested an officer watch the address until they were able to respond. 

Report of person showing up to residence and flashing a firearm. 

Report of vehicle rolling into ditch after it ran the stop sign.  

April 18 

Report of loose bull in the roadway area. 

Report of vehicle hitting the telephone junction box on Road 9. 

Report of stolen portable toilet. 

April 19 

Report of two male suspects looking in apartments and vehicle windows.  

Report of theft of car titles and safe. The estimated value is around $10,000 to $20,000. 

Report that a shed behind a residence was on fire. 

Report of subject sitting in reporting party’s equipment yard. The reporting party thought the suspect may have stolen something. 

April 20 

Report of dogs running at large and killed one of her ducks and chasing her livestock. 

Report of male taking down signs and putting them in the roadway. 

April 21 

Report of assist with tractor fire. 

Report of copper theft in George. 

Report of DUI. Subject took out reporting party’s mailbox and advised the windshield and rear end of vehicle is smashed. 

Report of erratic driver. In both lanes several times and all over roadway. Possible DUI or distracted. Fast speed but slowed down when he saw reporting party. 

A 12-year-old reported they were walking through the park and a subject said they had a knife and they were going to kill them. Suspect is not known.  

Report of cows on reporting party’s property. Reporting party asking for assistance in finding owner and getting cows back to where they belong.  

April 22 

Report of two white horses out along the roadway. 

Report of cows roaming on reporting party’s property and damaging property. 

Report of cold theft with firearms stolen. 


    The Ephrata Police Department conducted safety checks on the bicycles of children participating in the Columbia Ridge Elementary School bike rodeo. The officers made sure that students’ helmets fit correctly.
