Cesar Elijhia Hernandez
Cesar Elijhia Hernandez, 28, passed away suddenly April 16, 2025, in Adams County, Wash.
Cesar was born Jan. 30, 1997, to Eliza Guadalupe Beliz and Cesar Antonio Hernandez in Othello, Wash. The family relocated to Moses Lake shortly after, where Cesar would be raised and continue to live the rest of his life.
Cesar was a lovable, energetic child. A joy to be around, he was attached to his loving aunts and uncles. When he was 8 years old, he was blessed with a sister, Alexandra Nava, followed shortly by a little brother, Antonio Nava. As a big brother, Cesar was loving and protective of his much younger siblings, as well as encouraging in all their endeavors.
Cesar graduated from Saddle Mountain High School in Othello, after which he sought employment in general labor. Throughout his adult life, he worked proudly for such companies as Genie Industries, Microsoft and most recently McCain Foods.
Cesar ("Papa" or "Papas" to his family and friends) grew to be a loving, charming, respectful and above all, loyal young man who loved spending time with his family. He had a smile that could light up any room. He became a father to Ava at the age of 18, discovering right then that she was his whole world, giving him a reason to be the best version of himself that he could be. Finding our way in the world doesn't come easy to everyone, and while Cesar was still finding his place in the grand scheme of things, he had already realized that being a father was what brought him the most joy and fulfillment.
Cesar was taken from this world too soon. Perhaps before finding his place in it, but not before leaving an indelible impression of love and joy on everyone who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by countless friends and family members who will always hold dear the memories made with him in his short time here with us.
Cesar is preceded in death by his uncle, Moises Beliz Jr., and his aunt, Marcie Hernandez.
He is survived by his children Ava Lyn, Loyalty, Delilah and Jordan; mother Eliza Guadalupe Beliz; father Cesar Antonio Hernandez; sisters Alexandra Nava and Ashley Hernandez; brothers Antonio Nava and Brian Hernandez; grandparents Moises Beliz Sr., Ofelia Gomez, Teresa Hernandez and Antonio Hernandez; aunts and uncles Manuel Beliz, Hector and Sophia (Beliz) Valenzuela, Alisia Beliz, Amy Beliz, Nancy Hernandez and Brandon Hernandez — as well as countless others including many cousins, great-aunts and -uncles and a vast extended family.
Memorial services for Cesar will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Kayser's Chapel, Moses Lake, Wash., at approximately 1 p.m. Private viewing for family will be held April 29, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. Public viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
