On Sunday, Rock Bottom Rocker Pet Pantry President Shawna Kluge received a call from a concerned Soap Lake citizen regarding an eagle on the ground in the field near a highway in Carlton. After several incidents, the bald eagle finally made its way to Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman. The eagle is a juvenile and its signature white head feathers have not come in yet.

Rock Bottom Rocker Pet Pantry President Shawna Kluge picked up the bald eagle from Carlton and brought him back to the Pet Pantry Tuesday after speaking with Dr. Dick Maier, the owner of Pioneer Veterinary Clinic. He recommended she keep the bird in a quiet, enclosed area and offer it food and water. Kluge then spent $45 on a filet of salmon to feed the bird.
On Wednesday morning, Rock Bottom Rocker Pet Pantry President Shawna Kluge brought the bald eagle to the Pioneer Veterinary Clinic to be seen by Dr. Dick Maier.
On Thursday, Rock Bottom Rocker Pet Pantry President Shawna Kluge picked the bald eagle back up to drive it to the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman. However, about 10 miles outside of Moses Lake, her tire exploded. Les Schwab came out and replaced the tire for her.

SOAP LAKE — After four days, two veterinary clinics and one tire blowout, a bald eagle has been rescued and receiving care from the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman.
