UPDATED: Water main break closes section of Mart Road

MOSES LAKE — A section of Mart Road in Moses Lake was closed for about three hours Monday while city crews repaired a broken water main. Further closures are planned to repair the road surface, with the dates to be determined. 

The break closed the westbound lane of Mart Road, which provides access to the businesses on the west side of the 900 block of Stratford Road. Drivers still had access to the businesses via North Central Drive and will have access when Mart Road is closed for repairs.  

While the water main is fixed, there’s still a spot where the pavement was removed. Lynne Lynch, communications and marketing specialist for the city, said the date for repaving will be announced at a later date after the city has had time to assess the work.
