Susan Joan Johnson
Susan Joan Johnson loved outings in nature and special times with her family.
Our dear wife, mother and nana, Susan Joan Johnson went home to Jesus on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.
She was born July 17, 1939, in Seattle, Wash. She met the love of her life, William (Bill) Johnson, Jr. in 1959 at the Game Ridge Motel in Rimrock, Wash., which his father owned. Their love story began in 1963 on the slopes of White Pass Ski Resort. Not long after, they were married Sept. 14, 1963. They recently celebrated their 61st anniversary.
Together, they raised their four children Noelle, Holly, Bill and Gary in Quilcene, Wash., before relocating to Oakridge, Ore. In the late '90s, Bill & Susan made their home in Moses Lake, Wash. Susan worked for many years as a florist and most recently in Moses Lake in retail at North 40 in the clothing department.
Susan treasured her time with family and friends. She loved her camping trips to the mountains with Bill. She enjoyed being outdoors hunting with her boys. She looked forward to her annual beach trips with her girls. She loved to watch her grandchildren at sporting events.
She was a lover of animals, especially her horses and cats. She loved flowers and saw the beauty in everything.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, William Johnson; daughter Noelle Johnson of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter Holly Garrick and husband Rick of Rochester, Wash.; son Bill Johnson and wife Shelagh of Moses Lake; son Gary Johnson and wife Erin of Moses Lake; sister Robin Hansen and husband Randy of Seattle; her special grandchildren Sebastian, Tauni, Kody, Brittany, Alec, Dalton, Devon, Connor, Grace, Hunter, Dylan and Dawson as well as many great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Tilley.
Susan was treasured by all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life will be set for a later date.
