OTHELLO — Investigation is still ongoing into a drive-by shooting late Friday night that left two teenagers injured.

The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday along South Taylor Road southeast of Othello, according to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

A 17-year-old boy was dropped off at Othello Community Hospital with a gunshot wound to the calf, the release said. As law enforcement officers were investigating that, a second victim, 14, was brought to OCH with gunshot wounds to his left hand and forearm.

“Both juveniles were unable or unwilling to provide details beyond mentioning that while they were in the area of Taylor and Spur roads, a vehicle approached,” the release said. “The occupants of the vehicle reportedly flashed gang signs and yelled at the first victim and his companion, after which approximately 10 shots were fired.”

Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner said ACSO deputies are still collecting information, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the ACSO, 509-659-1122.
