SUMMARY PUBLICATION AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OTHELLO, WASHINGTON ADOPTING A NEW SECTION 8.12.130, TO BE ENTITLED “FAILURE TO SUPERVISE A MINOR,” TO THE OTHELLO MUNICIPAL CODE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE In accordance with RCW 35A.12.160, this is a summary of Othello Ordinance No. 1618, passed by the Othello City Council and approved by Mayor Pro Tem Genna Dorow on the 9th day of September 2024 effective 5 days from this publication. The full text may be mailed, free of charge, to any person requesting a copy. SUMMARY This Ordinance adopts section 8.12.130 where it is unlawful for any parent, parents, or legal guardians, or any other person having the care or custody of a child under the age of 18, to fail to properly supervise and care for such minor, in that such failure of supervision or care contributes to the minor violating any law of the United States, the State of Washington, or any ordinance of the City of Othello or Adams County. NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD Utility-Scale Solar Energy and Utility-Scale Onshore Wind Energy Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statements The Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) invites you to comment on two draft programmatic environmental reviews, for utility-scale solar energy facilities and utility-scale onshore wind energy facilities in Washington state. Programmatic Environmental Impact Statements (PEISs) are planning documents that consider potential impacts and mitigation at a broad level. They do not evaluate specific projects or sites. The Draft PEISs were prepared in compliance with Washington’s State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). Ecology is conducting a joint public comment period for the utility-scale solar and utility-scale onshore wind Draft PEISs. Ecology will accept comments on the Draft PEISs during a 33-day public comment period from 12:00 p.m., September 25 through 11:59 p.m., October 28, 2024. Comments on one Draft PEIS will be considered for the other. There are multiple ways to submit comments, including online, by mail, and at public hearings.
