LETTER: Thank you for an excellent forum

Thank you, Columbia Basin Herald, for the excellent candidates forum Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at the beautiful Wahluke High School.   

As a candidate for the 16th Legislative District for the Washington State Senate, which includes one precinct in southern Grant County — I was privileged to take part in this exercise in democracy.   

I was impressed by the excellent people from both parties running for office and the caliber of offices sought — from the fourth CD to the Washington Supreme Court to Grant County Commissioners to (Grant County Public Utility District). People traveled long distances to be there.   

I am grateful that the (South Grant County) Chamber of Commerce, (Wahluke) School District and Columbia Basin Herald gave me the opportunity to share my views.

I hope to hear from (voters)!   

And thank you again Columbia Basin Herald for an excellent moderator and event.
