‘The View from Here’ opens at Moses Lake Museum

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Museum & Art Center will host a reception today for the opening of its new exhibit, “The View from Here,” according to an announcement from the museum.

“The View from Here” is a group exhibit by members of Artworks Northwest, an artists’ cooperative based in the Tri-Cities, according to the announcement. Artworks Northwest has over 60 members whose work includes painting, pottery, fiber, photography and woodturning. This group show offers the public an opportunity to see a wide variety of subject matter and skill levels.

The opening reception will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the museum, 401 S. Balsam St. Light refreshments will be provided, according to the announcement. 

Along with the reception, the museum will host Art After Hours, a time to kick the kids out of the craft room and let adults enjoy some time to themselves, an evening with friends or even a date night, according to the announcement. Grownups are invited to swing by the museum classroom during the reception to participate in this free activity. The museum will furnish all the supplies and tools needed to hand stamp a custom key chain. Art After Hours ends at 6:30 p.m.
