Reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department listed. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Ephrata PD 

Sept. 6 

Two-vehicle non-injury collision in parking lot on Nat. Washington Way. Vehicle backed into another; information exchanged. 

Report of cold theft in 300 block of E Street Northeast. Reporting party said he gave money to a friend for bail money back in 2020. Reporting party said the courts returned the money in 2023 and friend never returned money. 

Sept. 7 

Report of collision on Maringo Road. Vehicle failed to make a right turn onto Maringo from First Avenue. Driver was likely traveling too fast and using phone. Vehicle collided with curb, causing damage to city curb and significant damage to vehicle. Vehicle was towed.  

Report of physical domestic in the 600 block of G Street. Suspect was arrested for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Suspects came into a business on Nat Washington Way and pushed a cart containing more than $400 worth of merchandise out of the store. Suspects trespassed. Female suspect previously trespassed, booked on third-degree theft, second-degree burglary and misdemeanor warrant.  

Report of theft in the 1700 block of Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said male suspect stole some beer and ran westbound. Male suspect wearing gray sweatpants, jacket and beanie.  

Report of theft at a business on Nat Washington Way. Suspect was cutting and opening packages and concealing merchandise. Suspect fled from police. Upon arrival, suspect located in parking lot and still fleeing. Suspect was cut off and placed in custody. Suspect had been previously trespassed from business. Suspect stole around $140. Suspect booked.  

Report of cold domestic violence on Yakima Street. Suspect was located by Moses Lake Police Department and booked for robbery and threats to kill. 

Sept. 8 

Report of suspect driving slow in front of reporting party, slammed on brakes, then suspect pointed a firearm at reporting party.  

Report of cold vehicle prowl in 1100 block of Second Avenue Northeast. Reporting party noticed his vehicle had been broken into. Unknown suspect stole some white Air Force 1 shoes and $3-5 from the reporting party’s wallet. 

Sept. 9 

Report of theft in 900 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast. Reporting party said suspect stole a stove range and hardware kit. The stove was still in the box. No cameras or suspects at this time. 

Report of possible burglary on D Street Southwest. Reporting party thought he observed several people exit his apartment and enter his neighbors. Neighbors contacted and said they were not in his apartment.  

Sept. 10 

Report of hit-and-run. Reporting party said her vehicle was struck while parked. License plate given to police. Driver was younger male, identified and returned to scene. No charges filed.  

Report of suspect stealing clothes from an RV park on Fourth Avenue Southwest. Suspect said it was her belongings.  

Report of suspect placing brush in between vehicles on the roadway. Suspect admitted to placing items in the road so the cars were separated. 

Report of female suspect lighting a fence on fire on Road 6.5 Northeast. Reporting party said the suspect was lighting fires on the sidewalk now. Suspect was contacted and booked for reckless burning. 

Report of potential driving under the influence on Basin Street Northwest. The vehicle crossed the centerline four times one to two feet each time.  

Report of two bikes found at Patrick Park. Bikes are being kept for safekeeping. 

Report of several calls saying suspect was running around nude and banging the walls of a trailer on Fourth Avenue Southwest. Suspect warned for public nuisance noise. 

Report of driver side window smashed and door ajar. Photos taken. No other damage on nearby vehicles. 

Sept. 11 

Report of fraud. Reporting party said suspect attempted to cash check from closed account.  

Moses Lake PD 

Sept. 7 

Report of two people doing drugs in the bathroom of a business on South Pioneer Way. Subjects could not be located and cameras were down. 

Report of subject tilting flowerpots from across the street. Reporting party was scared he would ruin the flowers. Subject was contacted and said he was looking for his backpack and that the little people stole it and were hiding in the pots.  

Report of vehicle rear-ending a second vehicle at a stop light on East Nelson Road. No reportable damage. 

Report of three juniper trees stolen from business on East Ninth Avenue. Footage showed a grey sedan with two males getting out of the vehicle and taking the three trees, each valued at $60. 

Report of two-vehicle collision. Driver two stopped on Alder Street because people were turning into business. Driver one collided with driver two.  

Report of a DeWalt grinder, Makita grinder and DeWalt Sawzall in red Harbor Freight bucket stolen on South Lakeway Drive. Estimated value of $350.  

Report of non-reportable collision on North Stratford Road.  

Report of traffic collision at intersection of Division Street and Fifth Avenue. Vehicle one ran the red light driving northbound on Division. Vehicle two had a green light driving eastbound on Fifth Avenue. No injuries reported.  

Report of two females stealing alcohol and mixers then fleeing at a business on North Stratford Road.  

Report of two males arguing, one of whom reportedly had pointed the gun at the other. Reporting party was contacted and confirmed males did not point the gun. Males involved were juveniles and the gun was confirmed to be a plastic BB gun. The BB gun was taken to be destroyed.  

Report of cold damage. The vehicle was parked at a business on East Kittlelson Road. Vehicle bumper was damaged upon arrival. 

Report of unattended death on West Windy Street. No signs of foul play or overdose. 

Report of someone breaking into the reporting party’s house and stealing all of his vitamins on West Marina Drive.  

Sept. 8 

Report of truck rolling through fence, no driver, on West Gary Street. Truck was towed. 

Report of shots fired on North Buell Drive, striking a residence and vehicle. Evidence collected, no injuries. 

Report of male suspect breaking into his ex’s residence on East Belair Drive. Male stole his ex’s finance cards, keys and her mother’s weed whacker. When contacted the male elbowed his ex in the mouth. Male later located by police and booked on one count of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft, third-degree theft and third-degree malicious misconduct. Male booked into Grant County Jail. 

Report of verbal disturbance on Highland Drive Northeast. Mom and son fighting over custody of dog. Mother said that son was yelling, breaking items and punching the door. Son was booked for third-degree malicious misconduct and obstruction of police.  

Report of passports stolen during a vehicle prowl on West Marina Drive.  

Report of physical altercation between two partners on West Knolls Vista Drive. Suspect booked for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Report of suspect arrest for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence on South Skyline Drive. Suspect hit victim one and two. Victim one’s shirt was ripped with scratches all over. Suspect was taken to Grant County Jail. 

Report of single suspect entering through the gate across from the Department of Corrections and broke the inset window in a door of unit facing the Department of Corrections. Suspect went inside but nothing appeared to be missing. Reporting party is worried suspect was casing the appliances and materials in the units.  

Report of an individual threatening the reporting party with a knife.  

Sept. 9 

Report of child’s bike stolen on West Knolls Vista Drive. The bike is a blue and black rebel X2 Mongoose with pegs on the wheels. The suspect is unknown at this time.  

Report of juvenile caught stealing from business on North Stratford Road.  

Report of two female students smoking at Peninsula Elementary campus. The students were later identified and disciplined.  

Report of collision at Moses Lake High School. Vehicle one backed up and struck vehicle two as it drove straight. No injuries reported. 

Report of Moses Lake Police Department responding to a reported stolen semi truck. MLPD disregarded after Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrived. 

Report of student in possession of marijuana dab pen at school.  

Report of vehicle prowl on South Harborview Street.  

Report of stolen Pokemon cards valued around $100 at a business on East Broadway Avenue.  

Report of suspect starting a fire in a cup and throwing it in a tree on North Stratford Road. Suspect to be charged with reckless burning. Suspect trespassed from business. 

Report of overdose in homeless camp on East Fifth Avenue.

Kaitlyn Dale Hember, 27, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court Case for theft of a motor vehicle.  

Danielle Joyce McCrady, 44, Soap Lake, booked on third-degree theft and obstruction police. 

Tyler Dean Gibson, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and Grant County District Court case for third-degree theft. 

Brandon Glen Jacob Fale, booked on two Grant County District Court warrants for third-degree two counts of malicious misconduct – domestic violence and two counts of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Sept. 6 

David Serrano, 32, Quincy, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Librado Guerrero Diaz, 44, Quincy, booked on residential burglary – domestic violence, third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence and violation of no contact/protection order. 

Joseph Mario Zamora, 42, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court Warrants for two counts of first-degree assault – domestic violence, two counts of vehicular assault and one count of fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.  

Samuel Ernest Engelhardt, 39, Soap Lake, booked on possession of stolen vehicle.  

Aaron James Koski, 25, Ephrata, booked on mandatory driving under the influence. 

Juan Diego Avalos Torres, 18, Quincy, booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. 

Brian Valenciano-Contreras, 20, Moses Lake, booked on attempting to elude police, criminal mischief and hit and run of unattended property. 

Jesse Jay Oliver, 57, Moses Lake, booked on harassment with previous conviction of threats to kill.

Antonio Martinez Carranza, 27, Mattawa, booked on Grant County District Court warrant for protection order violation. 

Nakia Leeon Owens, 31, Moses Lake, booked on resisting arrest, protection order violation and three Grant County District Court warrants for protection order violation – domestic violence, obstructing police, resisting arrest, third-degree malicious misconduct – domestic violence and second-degree criminal trespassing.  

Jason Romero Gamet, 44, Yakima, booked on Grant County District Court warrant for disorderly conduct.  

Luis Alberto Urbina, 34, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court warrant for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.  

Chase Martin Gariano, 40, Moses Lake, booked on Grant County Superior Court warrant for first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.  

Sept. 11 

Cristopher Tapia-Leal, 22, Moses Lake booked on fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and third-degree malicious misconduct – domestic violence. 

Nathan Lee Mulliner, 34, Moses Lake, booked on failure to register as a sex offender and Department of Corrections secretary’s warrant for second-degree child molestation. 

Sept. 12 

Randy Joe McKinney, 60, Moses Lake, booked on driving under the influence, felony eluding and third-degree assault. 

Colt Leon Trumble, booked on two Grant County Superior Court warrants for violation conditions of release on violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act, residential burglary and second-degree robbery. 

Brad Lee White, 47, Moses Lake, booked on possession of a stolen vehicle.
