Rick Dean Ambers ll

Rick Dean Ambers II, 35, of Ritzville, Wash., passed away Aug. 6, 2024. He was born in Moses Lake, Wash., on July 7, 1989, to the late Rick Dean Ambers and Betty Kramer, the second of three children. 

Rick was a 2008 graduate of Lind-Ritzville High School. Rick enjoyed playing football for the Broncos and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. 

After graduating, he worked at a number of local businesses before settling into a career as an automobile mechanic. He was a Jack of all trades, taking care of everything that needed to be done around the house. 

Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching meteor showers and collecting rocks. 

He and his dog, Blue, did everything together.  

Rick is survived by his mother and stepfather, Betty (Steve) Ulrich of Ritzville; sisters Jessica Ambers (Michah) of South Carolina and Ashley (Derik) Oliver of Belfair, Wash.; his dog, Blue; and numerous other family members and friends. 

A private viewing for family and friends took place Aug. 16 and 17, 2024, at Danekas Funeral Home, 207 E. Main Ave., Ritzville.

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life for Rick from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Knuth Building of the Wheat Land Communities' Fairgrounds, 811 E. Main Ave., Ritzville.
