MOSES LAKE — As we pass through Halloween and move toward Thanksgiving, the community’s holiday spirit comes through in a wide variety of community events and activities. Nov. 1 

'Murder at the Ballet' 

Ballet Fantastique and Columbia Basin Allied Arts present the world’s first interactive murder mystery ballet, where the audience shapes the story’s end with real-time choose-your-own-adventure elements. It’s a dark and stormy night in 1888 for London’s Les Etoiles Ballet Company theater, a thrilling new sort of penny dreadful innovation in the era of Jack the Ripper. Christmas Bazaar 

Crafts, candles, baked goods, homemade gifts and more. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 413 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake. Info: 937-763-8790. 

Wild + Free Handmade Holiday Market 

Ornaments, bracelets, baked treats, simmer pot kits, crafts and more, all made by homeschooled children. 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Covenant Christian School, 1001 N. Grape Drive, Moses Lake. Info: 509-762-9060. 

Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Bi-Annual Auction 

Live and silent auction and banquet. Tickets $70, which includes admission and dinner. The theme is “007 Agents.” Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the Port of Quincy Business and Conference Center, 117 F St. SW. Info: www.quincyvalley.org.

Soap Lake Fall Cleanup 

Get rid of your yard waste and garbage. No concrete, rocks, dirt, car parts of hazardous materials. Free for Soap Lake residents. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 12-4 p.m. Sunday at the Cardboard Recycling Center on Second Avenue Southwest. Info: 509-246-1211.

Veterans pancake breakfast

Tanyalee Davis: ‘Unstoppable Me’ 

Tanyalee Davis is a 3-foot 6-inch standup comedian who inspires, enlightens and entertains her audience while headlining at comedy clubs, theaters and festivals around the world. Tanylaee holds the Guinness World Record for the shortest comedian, has appeared on "Live at The Apollo," worked on the "Austin Powers" films, recently released a documentary, and is currently touring across the U.S, U.K. and Canada. Grant County LEAD Summit 

Join leaders and stakeholders from public and taxing entities across Grant County for a summit focused on enhancing communication, collaboration, and planning for the future. This event is an opportunity to network with stakeholders, discuss new legislation, share insights, and exchange ideas that will shape the growth of our community. Admission is $25. ‘The Lightning Thief:
The Percy Jackson Musical” 

Based on the popular Percy Jackson books, the musical follows Percy, a teenager who discovers he's the son of the Greek sea god Poseidon, as he embarks on a quest to prevent a war among the gods. Along the way, he and his friends face mythological creatures and race against time to save the world. Evening performances $12 general or $15 reserved, matinees $12 general, $12 reserved.
