This measure would provide that employees and self-employed people must elect to keep coverage under RCW 50B.04 and could opt-out any time. Volunteer Opportunity Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Opening The Moses Lake City Council is currently seeking to fill one vacancy on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. This role is designated for a representative from a business obligated to collect lodging tax. Eligible applicants must reside within the city limits and have a connection to the lodging industry. The purpose of the Committee is to make recommendations to the City Council for the approval of funding requests for activities promoting tourism. Meetings are held as needed starting in the month of September each year. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is composed of five members. One shall be an elected official of the City who shall serve as chair, two shall be representatives of businesses required to collect the lodging tax, and two members shall be persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by revenue received from the Lodging Tax. The term for all LTAC positions is one year at which time to be considered to end or have reappointment.
