Noe Andres Quintanilla

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Noe Andres Quintanilla, who departed this world Oct. 21, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on Nov. 30, 1941, Noe was a man defined by his deep love for family, a beloved husband, greatest father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 

Noe was known for his hard work, determination, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He found joy in the moments spent surrounded by his loved ones. 

Noe was born in Weslaco, Texas. His early life was marked by the love and support of his family, who moved to Sunnyside, Wash., where he is a 1960 High School Alumni.  

From 1964 to 1970, he answered the call to serve his country with pride and dedication, joining the United States Army and United States Army Reserve, stationed in Paris, France, and Belgium.  

Following his service, Noe made Moses Lake, Wash., his lifelong home. He had a career working at Basic American Foods for 30 years retiring as a Production Superintendent. He then later worked part-time driving a para-transit bus for People for People until 2011. 

Noe is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria Alfaro Quintanilla, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years. His legacy lives on through his children: Sophia (Paul) Torres, Elsa LeDon (Jesus Dones), Angela Quintanilla Sims (Eric Sims) and Marcos Quintanilla Garcia. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Audra (Seamus) McPartland, Amanda (Bryan) McCaffery, Angelica (Blake) Ward, Paul Torres, Noah Torres (Amanda Fisher), Genavieve Scheideman, Giovanna Quintanilla, Eden LeDon, Jonas LeDon, Levi LeDon, Keegan Quintanilla, Keeley Sims, Eric Sims Jr., Ryan Maines Garcia, Xaydin Garcia, Aalijah Garcia, and many great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts. 

Noe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Noe Quintanilla. Your love, strength, and wisdom will remain with us always. 

Additional survivors of Noe Quintanilla: sisters Eva (George) Ellsworth and Eloise Davis (Joe Fickle); sisters-in-law Josie Quintanilla and Maria Quintanilla. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Margarito Zapata Quintanilla, and mother Carolina Lerma Quintanilla; sister Viola (Robert) Reyna; brothers Juanito Quintanilla, Tomas Quintanilla, Adam (Brenda) Quintanilla and Abel Quintanilla; sister-in-law Joyce Quintanilla; nephews George Ellsworth and Jesse Gonzales; great-niece Andrea Elena Jesse Gonzalez “Shorty” and great-nephew Aaron Blackburn. 

    Noe Andres Quintanilla served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve for several years.
