New Hope provided services to more than 500 victims of domestic abuse last year, a dramatic increase from just four years ago.
Domestic abuse is seldom straightforward. A victim may experience many cycles of abuse before finally working up the courage to leave.
MOSES LAKE — On a single day in October, the Moses Lake Police Department received 62 calls for service, according to its records. More than one in eight of those was a domestic incident.
