Moses Lake man sentenced in child rape case
MOSES LAKE – Dale Bruce Lewis, Moses Lake, 63, was found guilty in August of a second-degree rape of a child. Lewis was sentenced Wednesday to 95 months to life in prison.
After eight years, there will be a review of Lewis’s case, and a decision will be made on the rest of his sentence. If the review is not good, he could spend more time in prison, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
According to GCSO, deputies were notified by the victim’s father in Feb. 2021, after the victim told him she was sexually assaulted by Lewis. The victim was 13 when the crime happened.
GCSO Major Crimes detectives conducted the investigation that led to his conviction. The case was prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Carlee Bittle and Judge Anna L Gigliotti presided over the case.
