Oct. 3

Report of multiple traffic violations. One vehicle in front of fire hydrant, another had its tire on sidewalk.

Report of bike hitting motor vehicle. Vehicle turned and bike did not stop and collided with car.

Oct. 4

Report of collision at fast food establishment on Basin St. SW. Suspect hit speaker at business.

Oct. 5

Report of driving under the influence in the 800 block of Hilltop Drive SE.

Oct. 6

Cold vehicle prowl in the 1100 block of Seventh Avenue NE. Items taken from vehicle.

Report of harassment at F Street SE, verbal.

Oct. 7

Report of two-vehicle collision on state Route 282. Vehicle two stopped at red light. Light turned green, vehicle one hit vehicle two. Driver one given citations for driving without an ID, following too close and no insurance.

Oct. 8

Report of person throwing food and leaving at fast food restaurant.

Oct. 9

Report of erratic driver. Pulled over, subject said they were having medical problems. Police told her to call for ride.

Report of theft at business. Two subjects exited store and alarm went off.

Hit-and-run in the 200 block of J St. NE. Vehicle, parked, was hit sometime in middle of night.

Sept. 27

Report of unknown suspect breaking driver’s door window on work truck parked in alleyway of E. Broadway Ave.

Report of suspect stealing from business on S Pioneer Way. Suspect permanently trespassed from store.

Report of fraud via Bitcoin totaling to $885.

Report of suspect stealing from business on N. Stratford Road. Business asked for suspect to be trespassed.

Report of hit-and-run on W. Broadway Ave. hitting light pole, vehicle not located.

Report of stolen tools out of truck in parking lot of business on W. Central Drive. Business to provide video to MLPD.

Report of two-vehicle collision on E. Broadway Ave. Vehicle two was turning right into parking lot and vehicle one collided into right rear corner of vehicle two.

Report of suspect entering store on N. Stratford Road, selecting items and passing all points of sale, suspect set off security towers at front door. Stolen items located in field across SR 17. Suspect was identified.

Report of suspect driving into work zone on S. Schneirla Ave. Suspect to be cited for driving under the influence.

Report of collision on S. Schnierla Ave. Both vehicle entered intersection and collided.

Report of wallet stolen out of cart at business on N. Stratford Road.

Sept. 29

Report of person stealing weed whacker and gas can out of reporting party’s backyard.

Report of driving under influence. Police arrived and suspect was gone on arrival.

Report of theft from business on N. Stratford Road. Charges to be pursued and suspect to be trespassed.

Report of rock thrown through house window on E. Seventh Ave. Reporting party to press charges if suspect found.

Report of theft at business on S. Pioneer Way.

Report of bicycle theft from reporting party’s second-floor porch. Bike is white Infiniti-hyper mountain bike with thin road racing 24-inch wheels and front tire guard. Valued at $40.

Report of theft at business on S. Pioneer Way. Suspect paid for dog food, left store, came back in, picked dog food off shelf, and returned it without paying for second bag.

Sept. 30

Report of suspect stealing alcohol from business on S. Pioneer Way. Reporting party would like to press charges when suspects identified.

Report of male exposing himself on side of road on W. Valley Road. Police contacted and told him to pull pants up.

Report of traffic collision near intersection of W. Valley Road and N. Central Drive. Vehicle one attempted to turn southbound and collided with vehicle two. No injuries reported and vehicle did not need to be towed from scene.

Narcotics investigation in city of Moses Lake, no further information listed.

Report of hit-and-run accident. Vehicle parked on E. Polk Court and was hit by unknown vehicle.

Report of drunk male arguing with female partner’s teenage daughter. Male arrested for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and booked into Grant County Jail.

Oct. 1

Report of suspicious vehicle contacted on N. Stratford Road. Consent to search vehicle granted and meth was recovered. Suspect booked into jail for warrants, charges to be filed for drugs.

Report of two-vehicle collision on S. Hamilton Road. Vehicle one traveling southbound when struck vehicle two. Vehicle two was unattended anr parked correctly on street.

Report of MLPD helping Moses Lake Parks and Recreation with cleanup of homeless camp on N Westshore Drive.

Report of reporting party leaving car at friend’s house to have work done on it. Friend’s ex/suspect stole key and left residence. Suspect is homeless and does not have working phone. Unknown where suspect or key is.

Oct. 2

Report of mailbox exploding from unknown explosive device on W. Marina Drive. Unable to determine owner due to damage. Suspects gone on police arrival.

Report of suspect breaking reporting person’s car windows, three doors in hours, furniture and dining table on W. Luta Street. Suspect fled and came back later. Suspect one was contacted and taken to Grant County Jail for malicious misconduct and possession of drugs.

Report of suspect breaking into vehicle on NW Sunburst Court and stealing knife and bear mace. Reporting party would like to pursue charges if suspect is identified.

Report of two-vehicle collision. Vehicle one struck vehicle two on W. Broadway Ave.

Report of house broken into on N. Daniel Street. Nothing was taken from house, but door locks were broken.

Report of three males in masks in reporting party’s backyard on S. Grand Drive trying to steal pack full of hand tools.

Report of theft at business on W Broadway Avenue. Value of $99.

Report of two-vehicle collision at intersection of E. Third Avenue and N. Block Street.

Report of two-vehicle collision on Valley Road and N. Stratford Road. Vehicle one and two were stopped for red light. Vehicle one rolled into vehicle two causing minor damage to trunk of vehicle two.

Oct. 3

Report of student skipping class at Moses Lake High School. Students escorted to principal’s office and two of students had marijuana dab pens.

Report of suspect taking items from store on N. Stratford Road without paying for them. Suspect trespassed and charges to be filed.

Report of student showing other students disturbing obscene photos at Moses Lake High School. Student admitted to having content on his phone. Student’s mother gave school permission to search phone. Nothing illegal found.

Report of dab pen found at Frontier Middle School. School security investigating.

Report of two students “slap boxing” at Frontier Middle School. No injuries reported. Students disciplined by school admin per school policy. No charges to be filed.

Report of damaged water pump and cut mainline leaking water on property on W. Edgewater Lane. Water department shut off water and reporting party hired company to inspect damage. Their investigation determined an unknown subject damaged pump and cut line to pump not knowing line was city water main line, resulting in around 500,000 gallons of city water leaked into soil and eroding shoreline at this residence. Damage totaled around $5,000. Reporting person was also billed by city of Moses Lake for water used from vandalism totaling around $32,000. No suspects at this time.

Oct. 4

Student assaulted another student at Frontier Middle School prior to school starting. Student placed into custody and transported to Moses Lake Police Department due to deficiency and interfering with investigation. No criminal charges per student and student’s parents. Nothing further.

Report of collision at five corners. Vehicle one was merging into inside lane on Pioneer Way and struck vehicle two causing reportable damage.

Report of two students involved in fight at bus loop of Moses Lake High School. Both students suspended.

Report of suspect concealing items under bags of other items at business on N. Stratford Road. Suspect passed all points of sale and charges are to be filed for third-degree theft.

Report of vehicle and pedestrian collision. Pedestrian transported to hospital.

Report of assault at W. Driggs Drive. Victim was intoxicated and hard to understand. Victim transported to Samaritan hospital for jaw pain. Suspect located and arrested for driving under the influence.

Report of hit-and-run collision on W. Ridge Road. Reporting person said there was an issue over phone that was inside backpack that she was attempting to return. Reporting person said phone owner fired one gunshot on at her vehicle. Witnesses said shot sounded like fireworks. Reporting party never saw firearm and vehicle was not impacted. Reporting person then said suspect arrived on Ridge, rear ended her.

Oct. 5

Report of someone trying to steal vehicle storage rack from reporting party’s property on W Polo Ridge Drive. Suspect and vehicle caught on camera and will be charged for third-degree theft.

Report of suspect driving under influence on E Broadway Avenue. Suspect had three children in vehicle and was cited for DUI.

Report of vehicle prowl on N. Grape Drive. Items taken include Sauer pistol, folding knife, fixed-blade knife and playing cards. Suspect unknown at this time but reporting party would like to pursue charges.

Report of Grant County Sheriff’s Office locating stolen vehicle at parking lot on N. Stratford Road.

Report of gang members throwing up gang signs at juvenile. Suspects punched juvenile and fled store. Juvenile’s mother witnessed assault and said she would press charges on his behalf. Unknown suspects and left prior to police arrival.

Oct. 6

Report of subject being punched by unknown suspect at Gorge Campground.

Report of subjects overdosing behind business on S. Pioneer Way. Officers found one subject had fallen and was unresponsive. Both subjects declined assistance.

Report of theft of mountain bike valued at $4,300. Reporting party stated someone went into garage and stole bike. No camera footage or suspect at this time.

Report of two purses stolen during vehicle prowl at McCosh Park. Suspect broke window to gain access. No suspect at this time.

Oct. 7

Report of vehicle prowl at apartment on N. Evelyn Drive. Reporting party witnessed suspect in vehicle removing items and placing them in his backpack. Suspect left area on foot.

Report of snow blower stolen off porch on W. Crest Drive.

Report of suspect attempting to flee officers on bicycle. Suspect located and booked for local felony warrant and drug charges.

Report of altercation among middle school students in the 11800 block of E. Wheeler Road. Students continued harassing student and parents were advised of court orders and other safety options.

Report of theft of candy from store on N. Stratford Road. Suspect also attempted to steal liquor, which broke in an aisle of store.

Report of theft of items over weekend at N. Sandy Loop including: one toilet tank, one overflow trim, three lab faucets, one kitchen faucet, one air gap, one tub shower trim, one shower trim, and one expansion tank totaling around $770.

Oct. 8

Report of around $100 worth of gas stolen from bus on S. Juniper Drive.

Report of assault at Frontier Middle School. Victim was taken to Samaritan Urgent Care. Parents are requesting to pursue criminal charges against suspect. Suspect was disciplined by school admin per school policy.

Report of two vehicles colliding when backing out of parking spots at a business on N. Stratford Road.

Report of driving incident between two vehicles on S. Division Street. Driver of vehicle one threw change out of their vehicle and damaged windshield of second vehicle.

Report of dumpster set on fire at around 11 p.m. on W. Broadway Avenue with unknown suspect. Reporting party asked for extra patrols.

Report of car hitting reporting party’s neighbor’s vehicle and driving off on W. Loop Drive. Another caller said that car hit curb and was stuck. Suspect was cited for driving without insurance, third-degree driving with license suspended and hit-and-run unattended.

Ashley Rae Perin Sandoval, 40, Mattawa, booked on Grant County Superior Court Warrant for first-degree identity theft, forgery, second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Also has Alaska warrant for first-degree theft and scheme to defraud.
