COLUMBIA BASIN — The leaves are falling and the season of sweaters, hot cocoa and bonfires is coming up. Here are a few things to do around the Basin in the coming week: 

Oct. 4 

Always Olivia Tribute 

Singer Annie Aiello performs a tribute to five decades of music by Olivia Newton-John. Sponsored by Columbia Basin Allied Arts. 7 p.m. at Big Bend Community College, 7662 Chanute St., Moses Lake. Info: www.cba-arts.org. 

Coffee & Conversation 

Join the Downtown Moses Lake Association the first Friday of every month for coffee and conversation at Mason's Place in the Smith Martin Building, 307 S. Division St. Every month there is a different presentation from employees or business owners in Moses Lake. Info: Director@downtownmoseslake.org. 

Oct. 4-5 

Flannel Fest 

The ultimate tribute band festival celebrating the iconic music of the ’90s, featuring electrifying tributes to Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and much more. Grab your flannel shirt and get ready to rock out like it’s 1999! Overnight camping and VIP options available. Must be 21 or older. Grant County Fairgrounds, 3953 Airway Drive NE, Moses Lake. Luke Combs 

Country superstar and two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Combs performs two nights, joined by Parker McCollum, Wyatt Flores and Ray Fulcher. 6:25 p.m. both nights at the Gorge Amphitheatre, 754 Silica Road, Quincy. Info: www.livenationentertainment.com.  

Oct. 5 

Mennonite Country Auction 

A family-friendly event. Many incredible quilts and other handicrafts will be offered for auction as well specialty meats, cheeses, pies, apple butter, fresh-pressed apple cider and homemade ice cream. Many craft and bargain booths as well. Proceeds support Mennonite world relief efforts. 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Menno Mennonite Church, 1378 N. Grant’s Small Vendor Fair 

Enjoy a fun, fall-themed day with local food, drink, crafts, small businesses, activities and talent. Kimmie's Kloset will be providing free face painting, Kind-hearted Mini Therapy will be there spreading love and Rylei Franks will be playing live music. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Grant’s Inc., 1085 A St. SE, Ephrata. Chunky blanket class 

Grab your yarn, register for your seat and join us to learn how to make your own chunky blanket. Most attendees leave with a fully completed blanket, and also take away instructions to help you create more at home. Bring a friend or make a friend and chat while you finger-knit this creation. Preregistration is required. 3-7 p.m. at The Creative Studio by Rustic Girl Painting, 1039 W. Broadway Ave., Moses Lake. Info: RusticGirlPainting.com. 

Concealed carry class 

This four-hour comprehensive training course is designed to educate individuals on the laws and regulations surrounding the carrying of concealed firearms. This class covers essential topics such as the use of force, firearms safety and the proper handling and storage of firearms, as well as the specific laws and any requirements for obtaining permits in Washington, Oregon and Arizona. Upon completion of the class, attendees will be eligible to apply for the permits and will also receive a Washington HB-1143 Gun Safety Certificate. Oct. 7 

Harvest Market 

Fresh locally-grown produce, lawn games for the entire family, s’mores by the fire and food and craft vendors. Shop for handcrafted and homemade items and support family-owned small businesses selling their products. 5-8 p.m. at U Rock Ranch, 465 Road T NE, Warden. Info: 509-350-0562. 

Oct. 10 

Samaritan Foundation Women’s Health Event 

Join the Samaritan Foundation for its annual women's health event. Registration for this event is $20 per person, $25 at the door. There will be limited seating, so preregistration is encouraged. Vendors and health fair open at 5 p.m., program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. at Pillar Rock Grill, 1373 Road F.2 NE, Moses Lake. Registration and info: 509-793-9645. 

Oct. 12 

Crossroads Pregnancy Center banquet
