The third quarter of the Moses Lake Mavericks vs. Wenatchee Panthers was interrupted by an electrical outage. Lions Field lost power due to a hit-and-run trailer truck accident on Broadway, according to the Moses Lake Police Department. The power was out for around 25 minutes in the stadium; however, the student section lit the field with their phones and sang to music and chanted with the cheerleaders, waiting for the game to resume. Once power returned to the field the Mavs won the game 46-25. Electricity returned to other residences and businesses in the early morning.
