Joey Bernhardt
In Loving Memory of Joey Bernhardt
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished son and brother, Joey Bernhardt, who left us Sept. 25, 2024, at the age of 43.
Born on June 22, 1981, Joey was a source of boundless joy and inspiration to all who knew him. Joey was special because his heart was pure, untouched by cruelty, and he lived a life surrounded by love.
Despite the challenges he faced, Joey lived his life with a spirit of courage and a heart full of love. He found immense happiness in the Golden Arches of McDonalds, cookies and his loving mother. His laughter was a melody that brought warmth to our hearts. His gentle nature and unwavering strength taught us the true meaning of resiliency and unconditional love.
Joey is survived by his loving mother, Rosario G. Bernhardt, and late father, Col. Joe S. Bernhardt, and his brothers, Gene, Sam and Jason. He also leaves behind family and a community of friends, caregivers and teachers who were deeply touched by his kindness and bright spirit.
A celebration of Joey Bernhardt's life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Moses Lake, Wash., on Oct. 4, 2024. Viewing at 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m. Rosary and 10:30 a.m. service begins.
