WA courts still impacted after computer breach
OLYMPIA – The Administrative Office of the Courts released a statement Nov. 4 regarding unauthorized activity on the Washington Courts network. The office took immediate action to restore and secure services.
During this period, the court implemented modified operations to continue serving the public. Essential services remained available, including in-person filing of paper documents and access to physical court records maintained by the court office. However, certain services were temporarily unavailable at all Washington Courts including payment processing and access to case information through the court’s management system.
The AOC released a follow-up statement Tuesday regarding the outage saying it continues to anticipate service interruptions throughout this week as work continues to secure and reestablish the Washington Court Network. The impacts will vary throughout different courts and there was not a set date of restoration announced.
Courts throughout the Columbia Basin will remain open during regular business hours, and individuals scheduled for court appearances are advised to attend as planned unless otherwise notified.
