Suspect reportedly slashes two in Grand Coulee
GRAND COULEE – During a party Sunday morning, a 17-year-old Grand Coulee boy allegedly slashed two people with a knife in Grand Coulee. The suspect was lodged in the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center for first-degree assault and first-degree harassment, according to a statement from Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 2 a.m. GCSO deputies and Coulee Dam Police answered a call for a large fight at 213 Second St. While most of the party attendees had left before police arrived, the suspect returned to the home and armed himself with a kitchen knife.
The suspect allegedly swung the knife at a 22-year-old female causing a deep laceration to the back of her head.
The suspect then confronted a 20-year-old male and swung the knife at him causing a deep laceration to the man’s chest. The suspect was then restrained by other partygoers until police arrived.
Both victims were treated by EMTs.
The case is still under investigation and all parties are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
