EAST WENATCHEE — The City of East Wenatchee posted a statement saying that there will be one-way traffic south on Northwest Cascade Avenue from 23rd Street Northwest and east on 19th Street Northwest from Northwest Cascade Avenue.
EAST WENATCHEE — The East Wenatchee Police Department recognized Officer Alfonzo Gonzalez on his completion of the Field Training Officer program. His supervisor said “Throughout the FTO process, Officer Gonzalez has demonstrated impressive deviation, skill and professionalism. We look forward to seeing all the great work he will continue to contribute to our department in the future.”
MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Animal Outreach is offering 50% off any adoption or microchip fees for veterans for the month of November. GCAO said to bring a Military ID, and they will handle the rest.
MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake 5K Turkey Trot is Nov. 23 and the early-bird registration for the event ends Nov. 16. For the early birds, registration and the shirt are only $25. However, those who register afterward will pay $35 and not receive a shirt. All of the proceeds from the event go back to the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation.
MOSES LAKE — Legal Heat will be hosting a concealed carry class at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Moses Lake on Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The class will be $84.99 and pre-registration is required. The certifications attendees will receive is the Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit, the Oregon Concealed Handgun License and Washington HB-1143 Gun Safety Certification. OTHELLO — Othello Police Department released a statement about sending off two Othello High School athletes to state Friday. Sylas and Alex will be competing in cross country state on Saturday and community members of Othello helped send off the two athletes.
OTHELLO — The Othello Police Department released a statement Monday thanking veterans who have served and continue to serve the county. The statement also honored officers C. Garza, SRO Lopez and Assistant Chief Garza, who all served.
QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department will be holding a cops and kids Christmas Raffle that is now open. The raffle will be held on Dec. 13 and the department is now selling raffle tickets at the department now. There are baskets including a Nintendo Switch bundle, gift cards, alfalfa, Anytime Fitness Basket, coffee baskets, Jingle Bell basket, Custom Wooden Flag, custom cutting board set, a grill and more. The tickets are one for $10, five for $40 or 15 for $100.
RITZVILLE — The Adams County Sheriff's Office released a statement celebrating the anniversaries of three employees. Sheriff Dale Wagner has now been with the department for 27 years. Deputy Jose Garcia has been with the department for seven years. Dispatcher Meghan Allen has been with the department for two years.
