GCFD7 gets new Kenworth pumper and tender

SOAP LAKE – The Grant County Fire District 7 has a new 2024 Kenworth pumper and tender which was funded completely by Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Grant Funding.  


The new pumper and tender have 3,000 gallons of water with a 1,000-gallon-per-minute pump, a front-mounted nozzle for pump and roll, a 3,000-gallon portable folding tank and a 10-inch dump valve.  


The unit was purchased from Sea Western Emergency Vehicles of Yakima. The time of order for the vehicle to be delivered was less than 60 days.  


The GCFD7 said they are excited to increase their capabilities to be better equipped to mitigate their emergencies.
